15061 Tasting Notes
I received a sample of this one when i picked up a few teas from World of Tea when i was in ottawa. It’s not a tea i would have picked myself since i’m not a HUGE fan of oolongs but i’ll try anything! ;) This is overall a pleasant roasted oolong. I chose to brew this western style but it comes across as the sort of oolong that might be best tasted using a gaiwan. I’d call this your average middle of the road oolong..nothing to knock your socks off but still pleasant!
you know…when you’re SOOO close to finishing a tea that you think you can and then there’s just enough in the bag left that you can’t justify adding it to the cup because there’s really just enough to have another full cup of tea with what’s left? Story of my life with this tea hahaha. That’s not a terrible thing because i do love it, but i was certain this would be a sipdown! I’m not trying to sipdown things today but apparently i’m on a roll with them :) I’ll be sad when this one is gone, but i know it’ll be rotated in to my cupboard again, so no real complaints here :)
my last cup of this…farewell winter tea! Maybe that means spring will be just around the corner. On the whole, i really enjoyed this tea more than i thought i would given my preferences when it comes to white teas. I’m not sure that i’d purchase it again, but i’d be willing to share a tin or swap for some more in future!
hmmm not sure how i feel about this one. I didn’t get much out of this one beyond a taste of bergamot. The vanilla was missing from this and overall it came across much like an earl grey to me. :) Thank you for sending this my way Ysaurella! I’ll have to try this one again before i come to a conclusion on this one :)
mmm packing up teas for a couple swaps and the BBB Box which should be here next week sometime if the mailman cooperates. I am fond of this tea and if there is ever another sale at Tao’s, i will likely pick up more of this. It’s just a tasty, tasty cup.
mmmm mini sipdown on this one! i finished up my package of this but i still, thankfully, have more of this thanks to Courtney! What it DOES mean, is that another one of my older teas is finished up so i’m making baby progress towards my 6month goal. I still think this tea is amusing in how one day it’s smokey and the next it’s all sweet potatoes. Either way, i love it!
mmmmm i have having an excellent morning. Delicious teas, quiet work day and time to just relax. :) Also love being able to watch TV while i’m working heh – not something i do often but today i don’t need to concentrate as hard as I usually do. :) I’ll have to restock this one eventually when i get around to placing another Butiki order. :)
haha pretty sure anyone can, but she’d have to make a special batch so there’s a minimum quantity involved. I can’t remember if i included some of this in your box…i might have…
I thought this one was special and I just decided I would never have it haha. That’s cool she could make up a batch if enough of us want some.
Haha no. Kitenna ordered some with me as well last time. I hated three friends and I was sooooooo disappointed. Stacy (because she’s awesome) helped me figure out how to love her version of chocolate orange
We should band together and put in a request then! I also thought this was special and I’d never get to try some either LOL.
snowy morning today…spent a bit of time before i got going drinking this tea while staring outside at the snow. Gotta love the freshness that a new snowfall brings to the day. I like this tea, though it’s not my favourite black from Stacy. It’s still a nice cup to have on occasional run through my cupboard :)
snow typically = warmer temps i just prefer it to the dirty, salty, gross, half melted mess that spring brings.
