15061 Tasting Notes
farewell you delicious tea. We WILL meet again…soon! I had the last little bit of this today in an effort to get at least a couple sipdowns in for the past couple of days. I feel like i’ve taken weeks off from sipdowns and now it’s time to get back on the sipdown bandwagon – especially since i lose a week in April. I love this tea a whole lot! I really like that it’s not a black tea..but it is…but it’s not but it IS…but it’s really NOT… yep.
second morning tea since i always like to toss in a “flavoured” tea with my blacks. Still loving this….still want more. :)
First tea from early this morning. I seriously need to go through my Butiki teas more often instead of always hoarding them like they’re never going to be available! I love this tea in the morning and today it was perfect for what turned in to a rainy soggy mess :)
dexter also sent this one my way…and i guess if this tea is trying to live up to it’s potion, it worked since this tastes not so good. Albeit, it wasn’t a dump it down the drain tea…but the ingredients didn’t really blend harmoniously in this one. i think in part it’s also because i’m not overly a fan of intensly minty teas. i need there to be other things to really counter balance the mint. no matter what kind of mint it is. that being said, still glad to have tried it! :)
Final Count: 134 (9 more to go + whatever comes in this month)
dexter sent this one my way and i’m glad she did. I actually rather enjoyed this one and would consider picking up more of it in future if the opportunity presented itself. It’s more of a fall kinda tea for me though, given that it[‘s a blend of chai’s. However, unlike a lot of adagio teas, there is actually life in this tea rather than that same underlying “taste” that many adagio teas have. thanks dex!
after my failure with irish cream cheesecake, i pulled this one out to have a cup of. Keychange was awesome enough to send this my way which was great since i was out! I still really enjoy this cup of tea. It was one of the first taiwanese teas that i had and it remains one that i love. I didn’t manage to get through ALL my butiki teas today, but it was fun revisiting as many as i could to try them all out again. It also brings me one step closer to a few sipdowns, which means i can place another order soon! haha Lemon macaron and hello sweetie..you will be mine!
eep. i am not having luck with this one today. Brewed up a cup of this and it is bitter and not a happy time. I’ll have to give this another try and see if i can find that sweet spot, but so far this just isn’t working for me. Which makes me a little sad since the concept seems like something i should really enjoy.
Yeah, this one didn’t go over too well which is why we pulled it to use a different base tea since I think the flavoring is pretty spot on.
mmmmm yep. For a white tea, this one is really tasty :) I drank the entire cup without realising it, which is a sure sign that it’s delicious! I’ll have to restock this one once i run out for those days when i want a lighter tea that is still refreshing, sweet and tasty. thanks for introducing this one to me Stacy!
another butiki cup for the day! While i like this one, i prefer pumpkin creme brule. This one is a little finicky and i can see why sometimes it may come across as bitter to some. I haven’t yet had that problem – my cups have been creamy and tasty, but i just like the creme brulee pumpkin better :)
I so wish we were there at the same time.
that would have been awesome… what day do you land? haha
We’re driving hehe – but the 26th.
Bah. We get on a plan at 1:30pm that same day lol
Well shoot. We usually leave ~3am to get there mid afternoon.

It’s on the ol’ bucket list!

Are either of you coming to the big island?
