15049 Tasting Notes
jump62359 sent this one my way…. I actually thought this would be one that i would really not like…because flowers? rosebuds? uuuhhhhhhhh floral? blaaah! However, i’m pleased to say that this is not one of those overpowering floral teas of doom that make me sneeze and want it AWAY! Admittedly though, i did pull the couple of rose buds OUT of my tea before brewing heh. Instead this is a slightly sweet, vanilla like tea with a hint of rose. It’s not super floral but it is distinctly “rose.” This is the sort of tea that i would serve to someone i was trying to convince that flowers in teas are not all bad lol. On the whole, it will never be a favourite of mine given my preferences, but i could drink a whole cup..or two..and did :) thanks for making me stretch jump62359!
This is another tea that charlotteZero sent my way, that haven’t had a moment to drink. On the whole, this is a nice roasty sort of oolong. I can see why it might be an enjoyable cup of tea for those that enjoy that sort of oolong. I of course, had it in my head that this was a black tea when i brewed it, and so it was mostly a lot of aaaaaah! ZOMG oolong! aaaaah. once i adjusted my thinking, it was a nice enough cup of tea, though obviously, not my favourite given the oolongy-ness of this one. It might be one for Terri though… ponders
Theres enough left for a sil sized cup so I’ll add it to your box/BBB extras. I know I haven’t sent enough unflavoured your way recently.
blech. this is NOT a tea for making iced if you don’t like “oolong” taste. i thought i’d try it out since i was enjoying the mango flavouring and the sorts of reminding flavour of melon. turns out, that just makes it not so much drinkable for me, since i’m not a fan of that green oolong sort of taste. But at least this way i know lol
Preparation
I tried this one cold brewed and it is pretty tasty as well! it’s not overly sour, though a little sweetner helps. I wish it had made the chili pepper pop a little more, but on the whole i can see drinking this either way and being happy about it
Preparation
nomity. nom nom. backloggin from yesterday. I didn’t get much drunk up, but the teas that i had in the evening were delicious and the perfect accompaniment to boardgames and pizza lol. I love this one with just a splash of maple syrup. it makes everything delicious and wonderful, if you like a bit of smoke in your tea :)
backlog from yesterday. I really wanted a quiet weekend to get back in my groove and take a look at a few job opportunities but that hasn’t quite happened. Out all day yesterday at friends playing games and because we didn’t get to one of our friends place, we have to head there this afternoon, after a quick costco trip…so no rest for me! since it’ll be back home to work/clean things etc…
this one is still a delicious, delicious time for me though i wish we’d ditch the oolong. it just adds a taste to this that i’m less a fan of that if there was just cocao nibs, rice and LB :)
another tea from jump62359 and it;s delicious! I can’t honestly say whether i like this one or the melon oolong better. I think they could both have a place in my cupboard because YES MELON PLEASE! lol i’m glad i got to try this one close to the melon oolong though. of course, now i want to place a lupicia order…again. must. resist. lol thank you jump62359!
this was another of my morning teas….for some reason i was gravitating to my lighter teas even though first thing in the morning i generally want my black teas. I suspect that’s likely because i’m going to be with my bolder teas for the rest of the day. I love having this tea here and there. I don’t prefer whites and greens to my black teas, but there’s something to be said for having one or two of these unflavoured teas in my cupboard for when i want a cup of delicious, refreshing, spring, happy tea!
