15049 Tasting Notes
VariaTEA sent this one my way and i figured since i had the lemon macaron, i could try this one in a continuation of the lemon theme. While i am a fan of the lemon + vanilla, there isn’t enough PUNCH in this tea to really have me loving it. It was really nice to drink though, and i’m happy to have tried it – gotta try all the teas!
Almost a sipdown! and another tea from this afternoon as i needed things that were a little lighter and more refreshing. I quite like this one, though i’d be hard pressed to find the pastry in this one. instead it’s just a really nice lemon tea for me, which suits me fine, though isn’t quite what the name claims :) However as i really like this one, i’m not complaining. Smooth, delicate lemon flavour that blends really nicely with the tea. One of the few teas that i have on the non black side of things that i find really flavourful and enjoyable :)
MissB sent this one my way and i figured given the heat of the day this afternoon, it was a good choice. It was a nice change to the day, with a refreshing vegetal brew that was almost floral, but not enough to make it undrinkable for me. Overall a nice green tea….if there is a such a thing ;)
this was one from VariaTEA and not a bad cup of tea for a bagged tea. it’s nothing i need to go find, but it’s not a bad cup of regular tea. :)

This is an interesting cup of tea. It’s malty and bold and overall a smooth cup. it’s on the stronger side but there’s no bitterness or astringency for me. Not sure if this would be one to keep in my cupboard but it was nice to try out :)
mmm another one from MissB I’ve had a very non productive day today. We got up late, the drain was clogged and then my other half left me to go to a bachelor party for our friend. I’ve been looking at vacation plans and all of a sudden it’s nearly 6pm. this was a tasty treat this afternoon – similar to toffee from DF, but just a little different. Overall a nice cup of toffee tea :)

Oh i am loving this one. Talk about gulping hot tea down! While this smells similar to some of the teas from TTC and a few from Stacy (Butiki) this one IS different. malty, sweet honey fruity deliciousness.

This tea called out to me because i have found through trial and error that i MUCH prefer tealux’s straight teas to their flavoured ones. I hadn’t tried this one yet so i figured i should give it a go. this tea is really nice and smooth, however it’s not for me. There’s a taste here that i don’t like but i suspect that others would love this. I steeped this alongside another from tealux and it is divine! while this one is just ok. I still enjoyed this but the taste just doesn’t woo me like the tones in the other cup. I can’t quite explain what the taste is, but it’s similar, though not quite, to the roasty oolong taste that i am not a huge fan of. if that makes sense haha
MissB sent this one my way and i’m SUPER glad she did. I really like this one. This is tart, sour blueberry – not that sticky sweet sort of blueberry. I suspect adding a little sweetner to this would make it delicious as well, but tonight i am enjoying the tartness of this. it’s not quite genuine blueberry taste but it is really nice. Especially since it’s a rooibos base and not a green base! wooohoo! thanks for sharing this one with me MissB!

Soooo i quite enjoy this one. it’s red rooibos, which i know some are not a fan of, but i like it, especially when it’s not that woodsy rooibos, which this is not. Steeped this for about 11 mins and it’s now a creamy delicious cup of tea. I know i’ve hard variations on this theme before and most of them are similar but this one is pretty good in my opinion. Though red rooibos haters may not agree with me :)
