15061 Tasting Notes
cavocorax let me have some of this and i greatly appreciate it. I am fairly certain that through this adagio journey i am even more convinced that i will never love their teas. I have certainly gone a ways up the hill from hating them to being “ok” with them..but who wants to drink "OK’ teas when they can have AWESOME TEAS!?!?!? not me.
I think An-juli has more blends that i’m ok with than other blenders. this one falls into that ok category. it’s a nice blending of flavours and the cup was decent enough to drink. so yay for that! thanks cavo!
VariaTEA sent this one my way and all i can say is..
HOW DO YOU PEOPLE DRINK THIS!!! holy crap. i thought cotton candy was bad..this is way sweeter in that i might as well shove my face in a bag of sugar, pour maple syrup over my head and then lick a sucker.
not. for.me.
happy i got the chance to confirm though lol
this one is super uber nice. omgsrsly sent this my way and because of work i don’t have much time for saying a lot. is this black currant? yes! is it tasty? YES! am i glad i have a little more? YES! :) thank you omgsrsly!
sipdown! farewell December tea :) Not sure that i’ll get through January’s teas this month as there are a LOT of them, but it is nice to at least know that when there are months that i’ve purchased less tea, i’ll make up some of that time. I’m really just doing it to be conscious about drinking my “older” teas even though i realise some ppl would love to have cupboards as “fresh” as mine lol.
I have quite enjoyed this one, though the reality is, i’d prefer 50g quantities from teavivre more than 100g in nearly every instance. Otherwise i start to feel like it’s too much to drink up. :) Not sure if i’ll reorder this one even if it is a lovely tea, ONLY because there are others i prefer more from Teavivre :)
Only one sad cup left of this in the pouch after today’s cup. I’ll likely hold off reorder this one though until the fall months. It’s a great fall/winter tea but in summer i find it much harder to drink even though i love it. Good news is, that’s almost one more of my December teas wrapped up, since this month i should be trying to get through January teas.
Did I mention that I spoke to Kateri @ Traveling Tea regarding our pumpkin ginger tea order this fall?
Yes please – sorry not waiting for an invitation, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE – I would like to somehow negotiate my way into getting some of this. :))
SIPDOWN! sad day in the Sil household…i love this tea from stacy and it was a great one to have today while the rain was falling this morning. Tasty delicious notes of honey…similar and yet different from TTC teas. This one still has a higher spot in my affections :) Will restock for sure at a later date!
Oooh, I need a cup of this, either tonight or tomorrow! Also, this one might worthy of the tins you gave me!
(Because it’s so good, but also partly bc I don’t like those crinkly bags so much – makes it harder for me to scoop tea out, especially stealthily)
I know….I really want Stacy to move to the new bags she mentioned in passing to me like a year ago that they were going to someday move towards and I was like yaaaaaa and she was like old bags first and now it’s like a year later and I’m like TOoOOOOoooOooOO much old stock! Lol
Hahaha. We were working on it then got sidetracked and have purchased more bags since. Unfortunately, the bags in our price range suck. We did get a box of natural brown zip bags and I don’t like them so they may end up on one special tea or something. The really nice ones are so expensive that we would end up having to raise prices quite a bit plus they may even affect shipping prices. I feel like keeping prices down is more important than special bags though I could be wrong, especially since teas really should be put in tins.
Stacy – lol it’s all good. I don’t dislike them nearly as much as some of the others I’ve experienced. I think my only issue is that the teas slip through the paper and sometimes they try to escape lol on the whole I’d rather not increase prices just for bags :)
It’s not that big a deal. I prefer zip bags, but the foil ones are workable! :P (Especially since I have a few teas that are stock-always and just go in tins now!)
We will still be testing out the natural ones that I’m not fond of. May just be my taste. They won’t be heat sealed though since I wouldn’t want to invest in a sealer unless they go over well. Eventually, we will make a change though since I would like us to be a little more environmentally friendly.
omgsrsly sent this one my way and since i have enough for a couple cups, i’m trying to go through the first round of all her straight black samples this week for easy sipdowns next week haha
This one isn’t bad, though i think it’s more of a with milk sort of tea as there’s an edge in here that i’m struggling with this morning. Either that, or it’s going to be one of those days for me and tea haha. I do like the strength of this one though, so it’s an enjoyable cup. I’m glad i have another sil sized serving to play with haha thanks omg!
i have a confession to make – i can’t stand this tea brewed normally in water. there’s way too much fennel in it to make me happy. HOWEVER….this steeped in half apple juice/half water; cold brewed is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! it’s like an apple cider sort of delicious berry tea. Thankfully i remembered to pick up some apple juice so i will have this finished up in no time! woot woot! (steeped that way, my rating would be in the 90’s…so i compromised since i don’t like it normally brewed)
Final Count: 171
I love when people try different things with their tea and then share it. This sounds like a good compromise on making this tea work for you. :)
Terribad as in bad or terribad as in "I hate it, but Terri would probably like it?
Hahaha I like that! But now I meant as in more than bad but not quite terrible. Aka terribad
