15074 Tasting Notes
mmmmm cold brew of this is something i enjoy AND my other half seems to be ok with as well. Dexter is awesome and sent me more of this as it’s been gone from my cupboard for a long time. And now it’s back…and ready for a cold brew near me! woot woot! was nice to have this already waiting for me tonight with dinner heh
totally made this as a latte when i got home from my trek to the mall. I may have splurged on an iced tea pitcher today as well as a few SMALL samples from david’s since it’s 15 % off with the pitcher purchase. I enjoy this one a lot. it’s not a tea i’d drink every day but when i want rootbeer…this is the one :)
this was one of the teas in the BBB Box from the most recent round…sadly i still have some teas from the round before that to get cracking on! Thankfully, i can get back to that after my sample insanity from the past few months lol. This is a decent puerh. I’m going to have to go through a few more steepings today after i get back from the mall ugh but so far this is shaping up to be quite tasty! there’s a sweetness here, but also an earthy quality to it. Mostly though, this is smooth and really quite tasty. I’ll see how it holds up once i get home :)
steepster need to stop eating my notes. i KNOW i’ve had this before. grrrrrrr. anyway, i picked this one today as 1 of my two puerh choices for the day…until of course i realise that this is an oolong LOL.
Oh well, i’ll find time to have another lol
This tea is delicious. it’s chocolate, sugar sweetness and it’s ALLL MINE. this..this is an oolong that is not an oolong. love it. will need to get more.
another tea from this morning…having a very slow day today – just trying to take it easy and get better for tomorrow. Thanks god for a long weekend with an extra day to recuperate. I love this tea….hot, cold – it’s just a happy place :)
Hope you feel better soon!
Also, I don’t think I’ve even opened my tin of this one yet! Am trying to get a lower count before I enjoy my Lupicia order…
So this is another tea that i opened up yesterday to try. when i brewed it up, it smelled REALLY rooibosy, so i was a bit worried..however in drinking this, the rooisbos taste isn’t nearly as present as the aroma would have you believe and this turns in to a rather pleasant rooibos pear tea. Could it be MOAR pear like for me? for sure! but it’s not bad :)
sooo this was the other tea i had last night before passing out because i figured honey was good…and no caffeine was probably good. the best part about this tea was that it got me to my goal of 95 teas in July! woot woot!
i remember this being pretty tasty. not overly rooibos like but with a sweetness to it and at times an almost spicy note…but not really. not sure how to describe it. either way, this was a decent end cap to yesterday!
Final Count: 97 (surprise cavo teas!)
now… a month to get through 5 more..though i may make a stretch goal of 10 since september will be a bust for me..already back up to 97 lol
I only sent two at least! And if you cold-steeo our surprise tea, I’m sure you’d get through it fairly soon! (So I don’t feel bad about it at all! Hahah). I think after getting through 80+ teas in one month, FIVE in another should be ok… Even if they’re 1 oz each or something like that.
Another backlog from yesterday…almost caught up haha. Not much new to say on this one..it’s chestnut, it’s delicious :) yay lupicia!
I should have stuffed mine into your surprise bag because it seems to be one you really enjoy and I don’t. Idk. Guess I’m not into nutty tea? Unless the leaves are falling?
Haha no. I good with what I had. It’s a fall tea for sure but given I’m sick, I’m glad I’m tasting it. I prefer lupicias oolongs. Hahaha shhhhhh
mmmm while this claims to be a lightly smoked tea, there is something in this cup such that, while i agree, it’s also a smoke that lingers, so it feels, after drinking it for a while that it’s more smokey than it is. i hope that made sense. lol I am digging this one, even without my usual maple syrup addition, as i wanted to try this without additions first. I can see this being a possible hit with my tea sister terri :)
this is sweet and smokey and slightly malty. I am really enjoying taking the time to drink my norbu teas today :)
One of my faves…it makes a fantastic cold brew.
