I added a teaspoon of David’s tea vanilla rooibos to this one since i know that the rooibos in this one isn’t my favourite. With the added vanilla, this is a lovely strawberry vanilla tea. :) Without it, it’s a little woodsy for my taste, though still a pleasant cup!

Another from Dexter and this one is another interesting blend. I was a little disappointed in how almost boring it was. This was largely a lapsang tea with hints of other things that remained out of my ability to discern them with any certainty. it was tasty, but I wanted more! Thanks as always Dexter!!

(totally got to 120 today before i had to add the teas to my cupboard that came today)

Dexter sent this one my way and i’m always grateful for the teas she shares with me. I’ve gradually tried a few teas from this company through her and they’re always an adventure lol this one is a pretty tasty hazelnut tea. It’s not my favourite hazlenut tea but in terms of a really good, solid tea – this is where it’s at. just hazelnut and nothing else :)

this is nearly a sipdown, and very much a reorder. This might be the perfect dessert tea for me when i need an extra hit of something delicious at work on those rough days. :) so glad i splurged for my birthday on this one! :)

drank Dewy Cherry by Adagio Teas

blech. this was a free sample from adagio, which i figured might be nice for a cold brew. Turns out, this is too floral for me. It was semi nice and then there was just too much of a floral note in it. I guess it’s from the hibiscus flowers but i’m surprised. oh well, since it’s something i might have considered, it’s still a win :)

drank Vanilla Rooibos Chai by The TeaCupany
15019 tasting notes

Dexter sent this one my way since i asked really nicely :) Opening this up, i was immediatly reminded of vanilla citrus spice from verdant, until the cloves hit….something else in there also made me think of after dark by steam. Since there was an abundance of cloves in this sample, i picked a bunch out before brewing it since i know i generally only like cloves in moderation.

Brewed, this is a decent blend. it really is somewhere in the middle of those two teas – reminding me of both of them, while being very clearly, it’s own tea. :) I enjoyed a cup of this tonight while hoping for some end in sight for testing. I’m so ready for bed…. thanks for bringing a spot of sunshine to the evening dexter!

Final Count: 124

this tea bag + honey = nice evening relaxing tea. This is another teabag i took from the hotel lol and i’m glad that i did. It’s nice to be able to try a few more harney teas without committing to a whole tin! this is lemoney and refreshing and mostly just warm and comforting tonight. Clearly i’m crashing a little after 36+ hours on 2 hrs of sleep heh

This was a sample from dexter It’s a roasty oolong, and while the brewed aroma is that oolongy taste i’m not a huge fan of, this is a really nice brewed cup of tea. it’s not overly bold, but it’s not a wimpy oolong either…sort of middle of the road with a bread like sort of taste to it. I’d be inclined to pick this one up again if i needed a ump to get me to free shipping threshold or something with an order but it wouldn’t be a permanent restock. thanks for sharing dexter!

Sil

also resteeps nicely!

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling as well!

Most of that is on hold these days though, including tea drinking like I used to as I have a new little one who eats up all my spare time.
