drank Finest Assam 2nd Flush by Twinings

Better than Twinings “Irish Breakfast”, which uses lower grade Assam tea. This Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe grade is quite delicious. The golden tips added nice flavor, and the aroma of the dry tea was very pleasant. It wasn’t until I sipped some, that I realized how great of an Assam this was. This is one of the more memorable Assams I have tried. I definitely recommend this tea as a MUST try!

I have had this Earl Grey many times. The bergamot aroma is strong, and promising, but the liquor does not hold all the bergamot I would like it to. Even still, this is an enjoyable cup of tea.

drank Lady Grey by Twinings

This is the second tea I ever tasted from Twinings. It seems like so long ago, and always brings back great memories whenever I drink some. It is not quite an Earl Grey, and has wonderful lemon and citrus notes. This is NOT a malty tea, nor is it brisk; it is very light, and should be enjoyed from noon until night.

As soon as I saw the cornflower petals in the ingredients, I thought of Twinings “Lady Grey”, and was very excited. When I opened the tin, the fresh bergamot, and other elements ensured a tasty liquor. This is definitely one of the memorable Earl Greys which I have tasted.

drank Tazo Chai Tea Latte by Tazo

This tea is pretty well rounded for a concentrate. The one good thing of concentrated beverages is that it may be prepared as strong, or as weak to one’s taste. However, it lacks the freshness that tea leaves have to offer.

drank Origins Chai by Twinings

A close childhood friend of mine is Punjabi, and whenever I visit, I am treated to wonderful, homemade Chai tea. Although this tea is not the same as the homemade version I am used to, I found it to be quite delightful in the Autumn.

This is a great breakfast tea in my opinion, and is very brisk and malty. There is a definite presence of an Assam tea (Not one of the highest grades). I prefer Twinings “Finest Assam 2nd Flush” tea, which contains a much higher grade of teas, and a better flavor.

The aroma of the un-brewed tea leaves is sweet, and inviting, but the liquor is very light. It’s not the best Bai Mu Dan I’ve tried. However, I did notice the great floral notes that were in this tea more than others.

This tea tastes like the typical English Breakfast: Brisk, Bold, and slightly malty. Longer steeps of this tea (upwards of 3 minutes) turn it bitter.

drank Black Pearl Tea by Lipton

I was quite surprised with this one. I received this tea as a gift (not for a birthday, or other special occasion, but because my family knows my deep appreciation for tea). I usually do not like Lipton, and try to stay away from it. As for this tea, I had to try it, and was astonished by its malty flavor. However, this tea contained MANY stems on a stem-to-leaf ratio. This is not close to the best tea I have had, but if I am offered Lipton again, this is the tea I will choose (as it is better than their other teas).

I love drinking and reviewing tea. Green, Oolong, Black, White, Yellow, Dark, Pu-erh… It’s all great. In particular, my favorites are Taiping Hou Kui, and Aged Teas.

I’m currently in California, and started my interest in tea at a very young age. Ever since, I’ve looked for exotic, rare, and even newly-developed teas to try.

It doesn’t end there: I’ll try just about any tea new to me that crosses my path.

I typically brew tea in a traditional manner (different teas require different steeping times and water temperatures, ect…). Whichever directions are on the packaging or website, I tend to follow as well.

I’m also building a private collection of Pu-Erh teas and teas good for Aging. Hopefully, they’ll turn out nice.

Companies: If you are looking for a reviewer for tea, I would be happy to sample any of the teas you offer.

Message me for Sample swapping.
