drank Darjeeling by Twinings
2966 tasting notes

As my tea collection swells to alarming and wonderful numbers, I have decided that I must drink at least one cup of something meh every day, in an effort to get through it, and make room for more and better teas.
This is still bitter and inferior. I’ve got one bag after this cup. Sipdown later today?

I have a million new teas that all arrived yesterday in the mail, but I decided that this would be the first one to try. Caramel and vanilla are some of my favorite flavors for anything, and I was looking forward to seeing how they would go in this blend.
Oh my. Hello, you delightful tea. This couldent have more caramel in it if it tried. But fear not, it doesnt have any sticky sweet, cloying, overpowering flavor. The assam gives it just enough smokiness to mellow out the caramel, and the vanilla mellows out the assam.
This is wonderful, and I can tell its going to become a standby. Carmel cake in a cup. Lovely, lovely! Get ye some of Caramel Vanilla Assam!

Fuzzy_Peachkin

This is definitely one of my favorites! And for every reason you just stated! :-)

What a long, stressful and exsausting day. Time for a soothing cup of tea.
This smells lovely, and is warm and cozy. Yum.
Tea and deep breathing. The way to get through just about everything.

Hmm. I got this at Christmas time, and I drank a cup or two, and then its been abandoned on my shelves since then. Well, today I decided to give it another try.
It smells wonderful. Spot on sugar cookie. Gorgeous smell. The trouble is that the tast does not live up to the buttery, sugar rush smell of the tea. I see that lots of people double bag this, and I might give that a try next time.
I do love sweet teas, and sugar cookie sounded like such a good idea, but I’m not convinced that this is the tea to do that.

drank Fruits d'Alsace by Harney & Sons
2966 tasting notes

Another of my recent collection of Harney samples.
What struck me first about this tea was how light it was. The fruit flavorings are not heavy or in your face. Its a subtle taste of them, not a bam! Fruit Punch! kind of flavor. You can taste the fruit, but it doesnt scream at you. It actually made it a great tea to drink on this warm summer morning, sweet and light.
I like this.

TeaLady441

Yes! I prefer my fruit to not scream at me. :D

ashmanra

It is excellent iced, especially if you sweeten it gently and leave it to sit in the fridge for a day or two.

JustJames

you know, i just placed an order with harney and sons and i didn’t include this. or paris. dammit.

Rosehips

Oh no! And those are some of my favorites from Harney as well. Well, whatever you did order will be wonderful, I’m sure!

drank SoHo Blend by Harney & Sons

This smelled like dessert right out of the bag. Chocolate coconut cake!
Coconut is not my favorite flavor ever (though its a componant in a lot of teas I really like, now that I think about it), but theres no denying that this cup has appeal. I get more coconut than chocolate, but its not overpowering.
This may not become a favorite of mine, but it is very, very good.

drank Rose Scented by Harney & Sons

This lives up to its name. I opened up my package and was hit by a lovely armoma of roses.
This steeps up to a lovely, light and rosy tea. I really like this, its not too sweet, and doesnt seem at all like perfume. Just a lovely rosyness to it. This one was a sample I got from Harney, but I might get this one in full size, eventually.

TeaBrat

this is lovely :)

I love blending this with Palm Court or Queen Catherine for a nice rosy change! But I love it all by itself, too.

drank Mint Herb Tea by Bigelow
2966 tasting notes

When I was first starting to explore the world of tea I stuck to herbals, and specifically mint tea. Its still got a soft spot in my heart, and I always keep it around.
This was el cheapo tea from Big Lots, and its certainly not a sophisticated mint tea. Still, for what it is, its a good deal. You get mint with this tea. You may not get more than that, but that may be all you’re looking for!

Ooof. After a very long and difficult day at work, where I didnt even get lunch, I have a headache and a great desire for tea. This is, as I’ve said before, a soothing cup, and just what the doctor ordered.

drank Ume Vert by Lupicia

Wow. Plum. I can smell the plum in the sachet, and in the aroma of my freshly brewed cup. It smells like real plum too, like the ones you get at the farmers market, not any sort of fake candy-like psudoplum.
As I’ve said in other reviews, green tea isnt what I automatically reach for, when I want tea (so, all the time), but I am trying to broaden my horizons.
This tastes plummy too, which is good, considering thats what its advertised as. And I do like plums. I’m not getting a very big impression for the green tea base, but its possible that I dont have the palate for it yet.
This was a sample that they threw in on my recent San Francisco Lupicia trip.

I love tea! I confess that I was a hot chocolate lover for most of my life, but recently a switch has gone off in my brain, and suggested that I might just love tea. And I do!
I’m a bit of a novice, but an enthusiastic one, and am happily sipping new varieties all the time.
I love vanilla, fruity, and caramel flavors, and cant wait to try more.
