First two shows down!
They went fine. Both had sections that could have run smoother, but I’m fairly pleased with how my part came out. Next weekend is the final set of shows, and thats always a bittersweet time.
A pot of this for breakfast. Its a decent earl, but it gets a little soapy with its bergamot. Next time I’ll watch the steep time, and see if it makes a difference.

Its opening night!
If anyone has ever been in a play, then you know Tech week is never easy, and I’m feeling rather worn down at the moment. But I’m looking forward to tonight!
This is the perfect cup for those trickier mornings, when one is dragging and has a lot to do. A good start to the day!

I’ve been drinking this down at work, and its been very enjoyable.
It was a smooth, easy sort of Darjeeling, and I should not have left it so neglected for so long.
But now it is a sipdown!

Breakfast blends are the order of business.
Its Tech week, so the rehearsals run late, and I still have my day job, so I have to wake up early.
Uuugh. Help, tea!
This is a solid breakfast blend. Its not quite to the same level as Malachi in strenth and depth of flavor, but its a really good breakfast blend.
And I need all the help I can get today.

Its tech week, meaning that the nights will be long, and frustrating. And its almost the first dress rehersal, which will not be fun, as it’s hot (100 degrees today) and the play is outside, and in Victorian costumes. I’ve got a wig, which is going to be misery.
There are wildfires nearbyish, and the sky is overcast with smoke, and we’re still experiencing a rain of fine ash.
It looks like winter out there, with the overcast sky, but it feels like summer.
Which is a very long way of saying that this tea is just what the doctor ordered this morning. Its going to be a long day.

Thank heavens for Malachi!

This review is going to be useless- I need more of this tea to decide what I think about it. Its got a sort of herbal quality, and a touch of smokiness, but I can’t decide on this cup alone if thats a good blend or not.
Hmmmmmmm.
Useless review is useless.

107 degrees today (110 yesterday).
Rehersal is going on schedule, which is to say its not doing great. I’m not too fussed, as it’s always like that.
I can’t remember the last time I was cool…..
And this is a sipdown! It was very nice while I had it, but I don’t think it’s a repeating blend.

Holy moly, I am pretty sure I would die in that heat. Sending good thoughts for cool air your way.

So I’m in a play, and we’ve reached that part of rehearsal where everything is terrible.
Its been a while since I’ve been in a play, so I’d almost forgotten this, but it is all coming back to me now.
It will be fine, and I’m more amused than anything else. (I have a good handle on my lines, so I’m not so worried)
But I am getting home late, and its so hot that my sleep keeps getting disrupted, and I am very tired.
Help, Malachi.
This tea can always be trusted in times of tiredness, or just when you need something nice in your cup.
Nom.

I remember that phase from years of kids’ choir musicals and Easter pageants! Now I’m curious: what role are you playing?

Rosehips

I’m Diana in All’s Well That Ends Well!

Hurray! We look forward to hearing more as things evolve. Such fun! We have complete confidence that it will be a roaring success.

I’ll admit it. I have no shame in this regard. This is yet another blend I picked up just because of the name and the tea.
But its pretty nice! My first cup had a sweetness to it, and was an overall mellow flavor.
Its going to be the new work desk tea, where I think it will do very well.

So there are some thrilling tea cupboard developments. For starters, 18 teas. 18 teas! I cannot remember when I last had only 18 teas!
18 teas fits on a single page. 18 teas has made it obvious which teas I’ve never actually tried.
This makes me very happy, as I’ve been working towards getting all the teas in my cupboard tried, and working on finding the perfect balance of old favorites and new things.
I don’t normally drink Earls for my breakfast cup, but I gave it a shot here.
This is a very strong Earl. Not unpleasant, but very, very strong. Not great as the first cup of the day, I’ll be honest. Next time it will be the second or third cup of the day, and I feel that I’ll really be able to appreciate it then.

I love tea! I confess that I was a hot chocolate lover for most of my life, but recently a switch has gone off in my brain, and suggested that I might just love tea. And I do!
I’m a bit of a novice, but an enthusiastic one, and am happily sipping new varieties all the time.
I love vanilla, fruity, and caramel flavors, and cant wait to try more.
