As i was brewing this tea I did a double take…the bouquet cut through the noise of the morning. Earthy. Alive. The taste reflected the aroma. A very nice surprise!! Not overpowering, nor terribly subtle. A very balanced and drinkable tea.

I drank my usual 2 cups (ML B’Fast/Two Leaves Assam) then switched to this tea. I was reading and not paying attention to what I was drinking. Kinda like the impression I had of this tea. I will give it another chance as the taste that crept ever so lightly into my awareness was a pleasant sweetness. Unfair to rate this at this time…I will do so when I give it my full attention.

drank Scorpio by Adagio Teas - Duplicate

Was looking for something to drink and there was this sample from Adagio. I opened the container and the aroma wafting up woke up my senses! The hint of chocolate is what first got me. Then after brewing for 5 minutes, the taste was wonderful: rich, creamy and the hint of chocolate. Not for early morning but mid morning or (I can hardly wait) mid afternoon this is too good!!

This is a tad sweet. It lacks a boldness that I would want in a first cup in the morning. I have been comparing this with Mighty Leaf Organic Breakfast for about a week and ML continues to come out on top b/c of its bold rich character. o well…I will continue the experiment.

Used my new ingenuiTea (which is way cool) with this tea. Light and pleasantly sweet. Still good after three infusions! In fact, I think I’ll try a fourth…:)

It is described as being “robust and sweet”. Well it is nicely sweet but not at all robust. A bit “thin” and, after my first cup, not necessarily for a weekday morning – perhaps Sunday am. Before ranking, I owe it another cup.

This is a serviceable tea. It is good without being great…or even exceptional. I often go to this tea if I don’t have the time to savor something else, or if I feel “guilty” about continuing to consume a more expensive tea on a weekday.

Ok… so I have issues :)

I have found (another) reason to wake up in the morning! This tea is an invitation to get going…in any endeavor I choose. It’s flavor is alive and soothing at the same time. I think the technical term that "professional"" tea tasters use is: “yummy!”
