Found this as extra from my sample packet with couple others, that made my day so thank you Teavivre.
“My first…” – saga continues as this is my first unflavoured white tea, yay.
Smells like sweet hay and flowers, looks like shrivelled leaves. As white tea is supposed to be. Dry leaves are picked with bud and one to two leaves -method, couple branches can be found. Leaves are greenish-white color, dark and pale greens can be found, most of them are covered with thin white hair.
I used 1dl gaiwan and about 3-5g of tea (I don’t have scale). Liquid color varies from pale yellow to orange-yellow. Wet leaves has brownish-green color and that white hair is no more to be found. Aroma is flowery, sweet hay with grass like scent.
First steep (25s) has that usual sweet hay taste with some grassiness and flowers, color is pale yellow it might have some honey in it. Next steep is more darker color and has more sour and grassy taste in it. Third steep has more hay flavour, hay and grass almost take turns with every steep, all steeps still has that lingering sweet taste. Final steeps start to lose the hay and sour grassy flavours, but more delicate flavours like flower and sweet emerge. Overall I’m pretty pleased with this tea, it’s nicely calming at the evening and suits to cold early winter/autumn.

I have waited this moment for long, my first powder/grinded tea.
Tea powder is so fine that I had difficulties opening the package, had to be really extra careful so I won’t cover everything around me with tea, it’s pretty messy.
I tried tasting dry tea, it was bitter and tasted like cut grass. Really green and nice color.
I used about 1/4 teaspoon for my 2dl cup, I don’t know if it’s right amount but it’s fun to find out yourself what is best amount for your tastes. I used milk frother to blend my tea since I don’t have japanese chasen whisk, it did its job pretty well.
Taste reminds me a lot of Japanese green teas (bancha maybe). It still tastes like cut grass but there is no bitterness there is also some kind of ‘sealike’ flavour, maybe seaweed, there is quite many layers of different flavours. I also tried it with honey but I rather drink it without. Cacao powder might be interesting to try with this, also lemon might do. Next time I will use more powder. I might buy more when this batch ends, I really liked that. I also give plus for organic as usual.

Flavors: Freshly Cut Grass, Seaweed, Sweet

I start every day with this one. Bring drinking it long enough I am up to 1 teaspoon. I like t with vanilla and caramel.

I made a mistake and tasted it in the evening, that energy. This really gives some nice kick for the day. I tried it with 100% cocoa powder and I recommend it, it maybe needs some sweetener like sugar or honey.

K S

Cocoa powder? I will have to give that a try.

Riimu

It’s interesting at least, needs honey or sugar with it though.

drank Sweet strawberry by Théhuone

This is one of my favourite flavoured teas. Dry tea smells really sweet hayish-wheat and strawberry, I would love to rub this into my face. It also looks awsome with big strawberry pieces and flower petals.
Taste is sweet, but not too sweet, matchagenmaicha balances sweetness nicely with its roasted and wheaty flavour, taste of strawberry comes after all other.
Wet tea is mostly green tea leaves with flower and strawberry particles. Yellow-green colour.

Flavors: Hay, Strawberry, Sweet, Wheat

I liked the sample so much that I had to buy a whole tuocha, success right?
The flavor is not that bold that other sheng that I’ve tried, but I like it that way. Golden-orangeish color with nice aroma, bit hayish. When using my glass steeping mug I can taste some dried fruits like apricot and plum, it so awsome I have never tasted tea like that before. This sheng is very mildy smoky and typical raw pu erh flavours like wood and earth are not so strong.

This is third time I write this since my computer is one butt.
When Teavivre had their pu erh sale it was really hard for me to decide if I buy this or 2006 tuocha that I had tasted before as a sample. I bought the tuocha and got sample of this.
Dry leaves smell sweet and woody with hint of hay. Wet leaves have kinda same aroma.
Tea itself has golden colour and veery smoky aroma, smokiest tea I have ever tasted. It’s not a bad thing though. Smokiness fades after couple steeps and makes room for sweet, maybe floral and woody taste. I really like this, I might get some more of this too. I start to get addicted into sheng pu erh.

drank Raw Pu-erh Mini Tuocha by Teavivre

I tried to broke one tuocha in half for my gaiwan (I know not the best option for puerh), but the tuocha is so hard that I had to use it whole. These are actually kinda cute, like baby tuochas! Cake seems to break apart into small tea leaves and not into leaf particles which is nice.
The smell is nice, they smell like sheng should sweet and smoky, reminds me a bit of bbq sauce? Dry cake is browny green color.
Wet leaves smell still sweet, but new vegetal aroma has emerged. I also enjoy a lot seeing tuocha transform into tea leaves, it fun to watch.
Tea has that typical smoke and woody aroma, I don’t seem to notice any dry fruits in this like some older sheng have, still it doen’t have that typical sourness either that younger ones have. Strong and full flavour and golden liquid, somehow dry tea. (The full tuocha was too much for my 1dl gaiwan.) I might to buy more I really like these.

I was going to buy their another tea, but they didin’t have it in stock right now, next time then. So I bought this instead, I really like organic quality teas and this is semi wild tea too which I’ve always wanted to try.
Dry leaves are very dark, they almost look like black tea and smell somehow very chocolateish. Wet leaves have green-brown color with hint of yellow and smell quite grassy.
The tea itself is very fruity and floral. It’s not that sweet but not sour either. This pale yellow liquid has flavor like apricot flowers, I’ve never tasted apricot flowers but this tastes like I assume them to taste. Really interesting tea.

It was a suprise that this didin’t taste like a toothpaste. The name means ‘cold sensitive’ or literally coldcat, so this tea is meant for rainy autumns like this one.
I kinda like the taste it is a bit sour and you can taste both eucalyptus and green tea. I personally would like a bit more eucalyptus flavour in this.

Flavors: Eucalyptus, Flowers, Sour
