drank Vanilla Chai (Organic) by DAVIDsTEA
570 tasting notes

I am always wary of chai blends. Mainly because I adore half the ingredients in a standard chai – the cardamom, the cloves, that kind of thing – and loathe two of them – cinnamon and licorice. If the chai blend is light on the latter and heavy on the former, I love it! Further note – I like actual cinnamon. The fake cinnamon flavour of Red Hots is what I don’t care for.

Vanilla Chai, unfortunately, is overwhelmingly the latter. The licorice flavour stuck to the back of my throat the whole way through, and fake cinnamon punched through right after. I didn’t get any vanilla at all – under the other two, I could barely even taste the tea. Too sweet. Too many licorice. Too very sad-making.

Flavors: Candy, Cinnamon, Licorice, Sugar

Preparation
190 °F / 87 °C 2 min, 30 sec 1 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML

Mmmm. Tea. I have become a believer.

I like oolongs and greens, and dark smoky flavours. And Earl Greys. All the Earl Greys. I have bent my nerd powers to learning as much as I can about tea and tea culture. I have started to ramble about tea.

Tea. Mmmm.
