431 Tasting Notes
Super juicy fresh peach flavor. Just delightful, light, and refreshing. It doesn’t taste artificial or sticky sweet or syrupy if you know what I mean. I really liked this. I am glad I went outside my comfort zone and got this. I will buy it again and maybe even it chill it.
Preparation
Although I am sure this would be good to someone that just loves Earl grey and it isn’t that I don’t like it I just like Earl grey that is less bold. This one is way too strong for me and I don’t taste cheesecake of anything creamy like that. It did however, taste better with pizza which is why I gave it more points than normally.
Preparation
All I can say is that when I drank this tea I immediately felt as I was being bad and needed to make am excuse to drink it. It tastes so good! I can taste the flavor of fresh, juicy blueberries and as it cools I get that flavor of a warm cookie like pastry. When I got it really cooled off I get the zing of the cream cheese flavor but I am truly reaching to get it. It is truly yummy..yum..yum! I can’t wait to drink more tomorrow. I may bring it with me to work.
Preparation
I took this one to work today and it was absolutely divine! I’m glad you like this one. I love this one, but I’m also currently waiting on yet another delicious order from 52teas.
52teas has had some slammin’ blends lately, this one included. i frequently bring this to class and i love it!
Erin I know what you mean. I recently picked up 4 blends and I have tried 3 so far. I loved all 3 in varying degrees so you are right, they are “Slammin’”
This one is kind of crazy. I taste so many things. I can taste the buttery flavor of the sencha, I can even taste the essence of watermelon but not sure if I can taste the raspberry. I am glad this isn’t tart at all since sometimes that happens with raspberry. It is sweet and buttery and sometimes a watermelon tea and other times tastes like a Watermelon Jolly Ranger which is AWESOME!
Preparation
Yeah, Frank really came thru for us! Sorry hon but that won’t happen. We’ll portion the tea up and have the extra drank before I come home- you’ll just have to cave. :)
You’ll get some tea soon- I gotta dive back into that box again, I’ve been too busy to try new teas.
With everyones rave reviews I just had to get this, especially with the promotion going on. I will say they are good but the consistency and texture are different from most brownies I have had. It was sort of weird. Almost as if the mixture wasn’t mixed enough before baking. I also didn’t taste the white tea but I expected that. I just loved knowing it was in there. I bought 3 packages of these and I will eat them with the help of my hubby and daughter. I do however, wonder if all the rave reviews made me get my hopes up to high. I might have imagine these to be the most amazing brownies ever that maybe they could even clean my house for me or preform some other type of miracle. I have actually made a brownie using a mix from Trader Joes that was awesome called Truffle Brownie Mix. I would be ok to go with that after these are done. Although, I could imagine buying them again if on sale. Don’t get me wrong they are good but not as good as I was maybe hoping they would be.
For a gal that doesn’t like fruit teas much I still get tempted by Franks concoctions. So I picked this one up and I have to admit I was surprised. It definately tastes like apricot but it too has a bubble gum smell and finish to it which for me isn’t a good thing. If that flavor wasn’t there I would give this one even a higher score. Keep in mind it doesn’t deter me from drinking it. It tastes sweet and refreshing. I am glad I got it and would recommend it to others.
Preparation
Just bought this stuff from the Woodfield Mall Teavana. They have a whole new staff and boy are they pushy. Girl at the front had samples and asked if I wanted any. I said “No thanks” and she gave me a nasty confused look as if she couldn’t understand why I would walk into a store and not want a sample. She then assumed I must have known what I wanted to purchase so that must be the reason why I said “No” to her. I told her I didn’t know what I wanted and that I was going to check out what they had. The confusion continued. She then left me alone to have another guy come uncomfortably close to me and asked if I knew what I was looking for and what I was more into. When I got him away from me and behind the counter things started to get better. However, he kept trying to sell me more than I wanted. Sort of like assuming the sale buy saying “I will get these bagged for you”. I told him I wasn’t sure what I wanted yet but I would let him know. I kept telling him I am familiar with tea but I think the sale tactic is to treat everyone as a newbie to tea. I suppose that works a lot but I think they should back off when they are dealing with someone not so new to tea. So anyway, I bought this one and it is pretty good. Here you go…
It is smooth and a bit sweet but not in the conventional sweet way. It is on the back end and a little earthy. Overall not bad but not great. I think I want to make it stronger next time.
Preparation
Annoying is right. I would have really checked their stuff out more and spent more quality time there but I couldn’t stand the pushiness.
I never did have an issue with the old staff but the new one makes me really uncomfortable walking into the store.
There have been examples of this type of tactic from Teavana posted on other forums. When I go to teavana (it’s not often because I don’t go to the mall very often, I’m more of a art supply store girl, myself), I usually make it very clear to them that I know a thing or two about tea, and that I probably own more tea than they have on their shelves. That usually does the trick and they back off and let me shop. It’s really good that you stood up to them.
You experienced the Teavana Used Car Salesman! LiberTEAS is right, ask them a question that isn’t on their script and they implode.
@Paul M Tracy OMG! I am going to have to ask them something they would never know the answer too and then see the implosion. Also, my husband agrees he calls it the “Helpless Desk” mentality.
While the pushiness is not common at most tea houses, I have found that most places treat you like you are a newbie to tea until they learn for themselves that you are not (usually lots of repeat business). I think it is rare that they come across customers that are quite experienced with loose leaf.
That may be true although I really haven’t experienced that too much at other tea houses, admittedly I haven’t been to many but still this was my first pushy experience. I believe in the whole if I need you’re help I’ll ask for it kind of person. But that’s just me.
That’s the Teavana I ventured to when I am in the area. I went there last week actually. Most the reviews of how pushy they are is spot on. I enjoy trying samples, and usually base purchases on them, and they make it so unfun at Teavana. I love TeaGschwender (sp) in Algonquin, they leave me alone.
Mel that’s so funny I am the FourSquare Mayor of that Tea Gschwendner and have been for a long time and you are right they are super nice.
Wow, my first thought was this is so smooth and full of flavor. Slightly sweet, a bit chewy, and kind of meaty. Not that it tastes like meat but it has a quality I imagine meaty it to be. I know weird. Bottom-line a huge unexpected surprise. I am drooling just thinking about it. Delicious!
