1113 Tasting Notes
I am not sure why anyone would make such a mixture so I bought this out of curiosity. The look of it made me laugh because it looks like someone powdered something off the ground with some trampled on flowers. I went ahead and dropped a large amount in my french press for my friend and I and we ended up drinking two cups each and came to the conclusion that this tea taste like a delicate herbal tea with strong notes of a smooth pu-erh. The chocolate taste isn’t very strong which is nice, but it is bout the same as the chamomile taste. There is a bit of tweaking to be done with this tea it seems, but from my experience it was different and enjoyable.
This tea smells a lot like Darjeeling in the package which is interesting. The taste is rather mild for what would be expected when you look at the liquor and smell the tea. This tea is great for some calm sipping, but I would like something a bit stronger.
Preparation
This is the matcha I used Jan/Feb of 2015 in the mornings. It’s a nice matcha for the culinary grade but compares as a bit rough on the taste when put next to ceremonial grade matcha. Overall I enjoyed this matcha, but it is a little dark and bold tasting for what I would prefer.
This may have been the most colorful tea I have ever had!
I really enjoyed it’s taste; for me it was more of a creamy flower taste, whatever that means…
I had high expectations because this tea sold out a few times based off of my observation of Butiki’s store but when I ended up trying it I realized that it wasn’t my kind of tea. This tea was still nice, but it didn’t provide the taste I was looking for when I looked at it or smelled it
Preparation
When I ordered from Butiki I thought that I got an extra amount of this tea because of its packaging size, but I didn’t. This tea was twisted up and curved all around which made it beautiful looking. The taste was a mild green tea taste and I really enjoyed sipping this during spring :)
