Nom.

So good.

So, so, so, so good.

2 steeps. First at 3 minutes, second at IDK how many minutes because both my timers are being used. One for laundry, one for this: https://smittenkitchen.com/2014/03/double-chocolate-banana-bread/

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 3 min, 0 sec 3 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML
OMGsrsly

The banana bread is so so good too! I used super ripe bananas and only 100g sugar (personal taste really).

Indigobloom

I bet this tea goes well with it too :P

OMGsrsly

YES. So good. :D

Plunkybug

Wow! Great combo! And super jelly you have any CVA left.

The things one finds.

I totally thought this tin was hiding some other tea. But no. It is, indeed, Paris.

Nice fruity EG. With milk. Yum.

BTW. WTF is up with all this snow?! It’s not supposed to snow here. :|

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 3 min, 15 sec 2 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML
Evol Ving Ness

Erm, global warming?

OMGsrsly

Ha. Touché.

Mookit

Lol I’m so done with the snow ;_; It was so nice and sunny a few days ago…

Evol Ving Ness

Every day I wake up and expect snow here, but nope. I’ll come. I know it. For now, most often, it is just bitter cold.

Evol Ving Ness

But it is nice when the feet are dry.

OMGsrsly

Vancouver does sometimes get snow, we just haven’t had this much in a while. It’s as though the city just doesn’t know what to do. And apparently the buses do not use suitable tires… I got stuck at work on Friday, and walked down the trails in my converse style sneakers! Not exactly what I was expecting.

OMGsrsly

Also, I was shopping online today for waterproof shoes for work. Naturalizer has quite a few options if you’re into ankle boots.

Fjellrev

A friend of mine is in visiting right now and can’t get over the snow!

Had this. Tea good.

It powered me (well, plus cereal and frozen blueberries with a side of sweet potato fries) through a whole lot of sewing this evening. Leggings, stretchy skirt for work, and the comfiest yet most unflattering jogging pants ever.

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 2 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML
gmathis

My favorite work skirt ever (alas, several sizes ago) was made from stretchy gray t-shirt material.

OMGsrsly

I really like using ponte. It looks like a business fabric, but feels like pyjamas. :)

Tea fail. Brought a thermos to work to drink, but meh. It was lukewarm.

Maybe I need a better thermos? Or maybe I just need to make the tea when I want to drink it…

Fjellrev

Methinks you need a new sparkly, pretty thermos. :D

Crowkettle

I second Fjellrev! I still burn my face (yes I fail at drinking things) on my thermos +5hrs :/

OMGsrsly

I have a timolino, I just prefer it for things that can steep forever.

Yum.

Sadly, though, this tea is almost gone.

Sil

look at you drinking all the teas!

OMGsrsly

Ugh I know! So weird. Delicious, but weird. I guess since I’ve been decluttering other things in my house, this is a good way to decluttering my teas… And I’m gonna have to see if I can return (?) or sell my 1980s yixing because it makes me sad every time I see it.

Sil

Sad?

OMGsrsly

I don’t like using it and I regret buying it.

Sil

doh :(

Last bit of this. So mapley. So good.

I wouldn’t order again, as I’ve been having issues with some oolongs hurting my tummy, but I am appreciating this one right now. :)

With milk, because yum.

(A quick rinse, and then a 2 minute steep. I might do a 3 minute steep later.)

Preparation
175 °F / 79 °C 2 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 15 OZ / 443 ML
Indigobloom

omg. I have a teeny bit left of this. Never tried milk in it!

Good god damn, this tea.

THIS TEA.

I found some. In the very depths of my stash. And by “some” I mean “loads”.

So I brewed it up with a pinch of Russian Caravan for a little something extra.

So good.

Another tea I’m finishing up. From Sil. Ages and ages ago.

It’s decent. I’d like the strawberry-vanilla better on a black tea base rather than a mixed tea base. The oolong/green is upsetting my tummy today.

Thank you for sharing, Sil. :)

(I have no idea what temp the water was at, because my kettle has decided that today is the day it will boil forever. So.)

I have been saving SO MANY teas.

UGH.

This is one I was saving. Needless to say, it’s lost a LOT since I first got it. It’s an OK tea now, but not what I’m looking for.

I think I need to go through all my teas and try them and just compost the ones that are toast. :/ So disappointed in myself.

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 2 min, 30 sec 2 tsp 14 OZ / 414 ML
Evol Ving Ness

:(

That said, no self-flagellation allowed.

OMGsrsly

TBH there aren’t as many that are toast as I thought. Just some greens and oolongs I can’t drink anyways. Most of the black teas are in mylar or tins, yay!

Sil

jeebus you need to have a tea sorting day

OMGsrsly

I haven’t been drinking much tea for the last year, Sil! On the up side, I wasn’t buying much tea either…

I mostly drink black tea.

Also: A map of tea places in Vancouver. I’ve been to some of them, but not a lot. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
