The decor here is either offbeat charming or borderline kitschy: lots of feathers, lace, and over-the-top pink. The servers wear little white hats and aprons. The bathroom also has a frightening lot of poodle-themed artwork. I had a Groupon for Princess Heather’s Tea, which includes a choice of soup or salad as one of the courses. The chicken barley soup was very good. They serve a TON of finger sandwiches (cucumber, tuna, chicken curry, double-layer sandwiches). Their tea selection is large—I would say 30+ teas, with a wide assortment of flavored black tea and green tea. I’d come again if I felt like making the drive out to Kailua from town.

Clean store, convenient location, helpful staff. I like that you can smell the teas before you buy them. They specialize in green tea and have a lot of Japanese flavors. This particular location also carries Hawaii-themed tea. Unfortunately, they will be discontinuing some of the less popular blends.

Bio

An oolong monster who lives in a remote island chain where it is difficult to obtain loose leaf tea. She used to eschew the beverage, but she now considers herself a devotee of fine leaf water. You can talk to the monster—she doesn’t bite (only slurps).
