I was really impressed by the quality of this tea. The first thing you notice is the aroma. The colour is a really nice yellow. The taste is really good too.

First and second steepings really good. I recommend this tea.

I brewed this using 2 tea bags and 200 mL of water and left it for 2 minutes at around 170 to 180 approx.

Last night I was doing virgin cherry koolaid shots. I mention this because the bright red colour of this tea reminds me of that. Actually, there is strawberry in it too! Lol

On the first 120 mL shot of this, I get a lot of the berries acidity. On the second steeping, a lot more of the aroma of perhaps liquorice and whatever else they are putting in it.

On the third steep most of the colour is gone, now it is brownish. It’s a warm flavour now, not unpleasant.

Also note that there isn’t any goji berry in this, just flavouring!

drank Lemon Chamomile by Tetley

On the one hand, this smells like chamomile (I guess).

On the other, it is so good swishing this around my mouth. There is just something really pleasing about the flavour balance. The lemon really isn’t that strong. It doesn’t overpower. I bet this would made a good iced drink. I am doing tea shots.

I hate this tea. I think the coconut ruins it for me. I was all in for mango oolong and then coconut came along, and I was like, no thanks!

Trying to drink it in a shot glass to see if that makes it better. Maybe I will cool it down to kill the flavour.

One minute steepings are enough.

This was the first matcha that I have tried. It’s a mild matcha, which foams up well when you whisk it. There aren’t really standards for what a ceremonial matcha should be. The colour was fine. I wasn’t amazed by the aroma or anything.

One thing I did notice was the difference in freshness between my usual matcha and this. The place where you will notice the difference is in the toilet. I’m not sure if this one is fresh enough by the time you buy it.

I would suggest it as a starting matcha. Just know that it is possible to find better ones.

I didn’t have a lot of luck with this one.

I used an 8 gram sample and multiple infusions of 200 mL.

The temperature range was 140F to 160F or 50 to 60C.

I doubt that I could have drank this tea without sugar. All I got was sourness out of the leaves.

The leaves are edible, and it would be a shame not to eat them.

drank Oolong Supreme by DAVIDsTEA

I will continue reviewing this tea over time.

The first thing you notice are how black the twisted leaves are. Actually, after you brew this tea, view it in direct sunlight. You will notice how surprisingly green this tea actually looks among the darker colours.

I chose to do multiple steelings of this tea, with a time of 1 minute in between. I used the same shot glass to make and drink the tea, keeping the tea in a small bowl. Each shot glass got 1 tea spoon of sugar, roughly.

You’re going to get a warm flavour, but at this leaf level it’s no where near as assertive as say a plummy Assam. The brew is a golden. I’m up to 7 or 8 steepings to far.

I will post photos as well.

I just noticed you linked to this oolong Instagram in your review above about a different tea :)

drank English Breakfast by Teaopia
123 tasting notes

This is probably the last time this tea will ever be reviewed. Teaopia was bought out by Teavana.

This tea sat in a bag, yes a paper kind of bag, in my cupboard for years.

I got two full steepings out of this. It was better than a teabag, for sure. Nothing really noteable to mention. The darker red of a cup of tea.

At the time I had this and an Irish Breakfast. My bias led me to prefer this one, as it had ceylon in it. The Irish aas definitely more Assam like.
