I visited this location for the first time yesterday with a couple of friends while out shopping. I really liked the atmosphere of the store. This was the first location I have visited where they asked if I wanted my tea for there or to take with me. My tea was served in one of their clear glass mugs and they brought it over to the table where they invited us to sit down. Very few locations I have visited emphasize the in-store service in that way. Most just put your tea in a to-go cup and send you on your way. The staff who were working were very knowledgeable and friendly. The service was fast and the experience was enjoyable. I would definitely return to this location in the future.

I was really impressed with this location. First of all, I noticed that it was VERY clean! One of the cleanest locations I have seen. When I went, it was not very busy so I was able to get served almost immediately. The staff were also very patient, letting me smell several teas before making my descision, and didn’t rush me out the door! I was also really impressed with the selection of teas. They had some (like cheeky lychee) which I have yet to see at any other location in town. This location is unfortunately wayyyy out of my way but if I’m ever in the vacinity I will be sure to stop by.

This location is always really busy. Sometimes, I do find myself waiting longer here than any other location but that is probably because it is right in the entrance of the mall. This location rarely gives samples or promotes the tea of the day which is unfortunate. Also, I find that sometimes I feel a bit rushed as there is a big crowd and I dont get to smell all of the teas I wanted. The location is great. Not too far for me to go and if I’m in the mall I always pop in to try something new. I also agree with the other reviews which spoke of the staff knowledge of the product. That is one improvement I would suggest for this location in particular.

For being right in the mall, this location never seems to be too busy. The service is always fast and they seem to be really organized in how they serve you. Usually they have a couple people pulling teas to smell and making the drinks to go and another couple of people filling and weighing bags so that by the time your drink is ready, you are good to go. The staff are all really friendly and knowledgeable about the product. I believe that contributes to an overall positive experience at this location.

BEST ONE THAT I HAVE VISITED BY FAR!!! I was recently on a trip to Toronto where I visited this location. Although it was a bit difficult to find as I did not know the area, it was well worth it(it was located in a building underground!)! This location was AMAZING…firstly, the staff were all super friendly and for being such a busy location, the service was really fast. We were immediately greeted with samples of the tea of the day which I find doesnt always happen. The staff also did something that I have never seen before, they were all dressed up as different kinds of teas! The girl that was serving me was Aloha Pu`erh and there was another who was Read my Lips. I also noticed that they carried teas at that store which are mostly only available online such as Cheeky Lychee and Pumpkin Chai. I would defientely go back to this location again! This one is a must see!

I love this location. If I can, I go to this one vs. the other one`s in town. I find that the employees here are really knowledgeable and reccomend great teas to try. They are also very friendly and this location is never SUPER busy so you tend to get served very quickly!

Bio

I am a tea fanatic and have also recently made the transition from vegetarian to vegan! I always have tea in my hand and in my overflowing cupboard!

I prefer black, green and white teas. I have recently discovered mate and oolongs. So far I’ve enjoyed them however, I have not tried very many. I am not often a fan of rooibos as I tend to find them overly woody but have found there to be some exceptions. As for herbals, I am only recently beginning to drink these on a regular basis (mostly iced) as the weather gets warmer, but these I am willing to try. I have not yet developped the taste for pu’erh.

I tend to only rate and review the teas I drink once (maybe twice if my opinion REALLY changes; especially if I were to have them prepared a different way). I currently only use Steepster for logging my reviews of David’s Tea although I do drink teas from many different companies. Every time I visit the store, I try something new in a cup to-go as I enjoy going through the tea menu and marking off teas as I try them. My goal is to try them all!

My rating system is as follows:
90-100: Wecome to my permanent collection! (worthy of a 100g tin!)

75-90: Definetly would drink again but maybe not all the time. I would buy a small amount (50g or less) to have once in a while.

50-75: I will finish the cup but not my favourite.

25-50: I will try to finish the cup but may not be able to.

0-25: Not my cup of tea…down the sink we go!
