442 Tasting Notes
Yum, this is a smooth and smoky version of whisky, the peated kind without any alcohol. I might need more of this in my cupboard, and Kentucky Bourbon pales in comparison here. I wish I had more than just a sample so I could see if it could get bitter with too much leaf or overbrewing. I would add it to my next Savoy order!
Flavors: Caramel, Smoke, Smooth, Whiskey
Only a hint of cinnamon and vanilla in this blend, it may have a lot of caffeine, but it also has a mate bite that’s throwing my tastebuds off. If there were a bit more assam taste here I’d say it was well blended, but it’s too lopsided to me.
Flavors: Bitter, Charcoal, Cinnamon, Vanilla
Sipdown!
This one is almondy but not in a marzipan or amaretto way, it’s very subtle. There is a sweet vanilla note too, for the rest of the cookie vibe. I had fun sipping this down, but I prefer Upton almond tea if it’s ever back in stock.
Flavors: Almond, Cookie, Vanilla
Made a pot of this for Christmas morning tea! It’s ok, a muted chocolate mint that is pleasant enough to drink but not good enough to remember or purchase again.
Merry Christmas!
Flavors: Milk Chocolate, Mint
Advent Tea! Wow this is nicely smooth and floral. Not a whole lot of smoke here, but I’ll try to steep it a few more times. A nice change of pace from clove and ginger and chocolate. The second steep was still floral, but quite a bit weaker. Maybe I’m expecting too much from this delicate brew, but I wish it steeped longer. Thanks for sending it Lexie!
Advent tea! A nice change from all the cinnamon, chai, chocolate of the seasonal teas. I do like a good lemongrass tea, but this has just one note to me. The cake is an aftertaste and the oolong non-existent. I am enjoying the lightness of the blend, but it is a bit pale in comparison to Tazo’s hebal version of lemon cake. Thanks for sending it for me to try Lexie!
Flavors: Cake, Lemongrass
Ah wellness teas and ginger, they seem to go hand in hand. My dad and I have been fighting off some cold/virus for several days and I went to the local natural foods store to get all the tea. This one seems ok with my dad, and I could certainly sip a few more cups as its f-ing cold outside! Gingery but not too ginger, lemony but not sour, and it tastes tulsi enough so you know its good for you. Like vegetables.
Flavors: Ginger, Lemon, Tulsi
Teeccino Advent. Usually when I want a cup of coffee, I want a real cup of joe. This really does smell and taste like a good colombian dark roast, I like the other teeccino flavors with more sweetness from the dates, or the peppermint that nearly overpowers all the chicory flavors. I would drink this again, just don’t think I need it in my cupboard if there are other tastier flavors.
Flavors: Chicory, Coffee
Two for two!
Well, this jumpes into wishlist and I am thinking gifting it to my brother who likes whisky.
