106 Tasting Notes
So sad this is my last cup of this. I really liked this one. Probably going to have to put in a request that it gets reblended. So yummy but so sad at the same time…Oh well guess it is good since it’s one less tea in my overflowing cupboard.
Preparation
I have been meaning to try this brand of chai and I happened to find a variety pack on clearance at REI. This is tasty. Very creamy and sweet. I am not a huge fan of chai mixes that have milk and sugar already in them. But thankfully what is in there isn’t nearly as bad as some of the chai mixes I’ve seen. I’ve seen some that have 27-30grams of sugar for an 8oz serving! The flavor of this is really nice the cardamom brings a very refreshing sweet flavor to the chai and is not overwhelming. I also love that this chai mix disolves completely so there no mix sitting at the bottom of the cup at the end.
Preparation
Got this as a sample from Lupicia. This is a really good subtle flavored black blend. The strawberry and vanilla are so light it works with the black tea beautifully. Next time I have some of this I would definitely like to try adding some milk, maybe make it a latte. I feel the flavors would work really well as a latte.
Preparation
Backlogging this from the other day. This is so good! I knew it would be. When I saw the post that this was the tea of the week I had to have it. I love lemon flavored desserts and I love chai. Frank combined the two and voila! Deliciousness ensues! The lemon meringue is perfect compliment to the chai. It balances it out with a really creamy flavor. I haven’t tried it iced yet but I feel this will definitely be a winner iced. :-)
Preparation
This is really tasty however, I feel it needs more… I feel like the cheesecake flavor is a little lacking in this one. I don’t know if maybe it is the Genmaicha that is overpowering the flavor of the cheesecake. I need to mess around with this one more see if I can get the cheesecake flavor to come out more. It’s in there but the flavor is a little weak for me. Still very tasty otherwise.
Preparation
This is a really tasty green tea. I prefer when coconut flavoring is more on the toasty side. This is definitely a more toasty coconut flavor. It is really smooth and I like it a lot. I will try it iced next time and this also might be a really one for a cold brew.
Preparation
This is a pretty tasty Rooibos. I agree with the other reviewer it is chocolaty but in a chocolate liqueur sort of way. I had it plain but I might try messing around with different additions and see how that changes the flavors. I would not buy this normally but it was a nice addition to the Amoda box this month.
Preparation
This is pretty tasty matcha. I was not too happy that it was already sweetened I like being able to be in control of the amount of sweetener in my tea. Oh well this is pretty good. Very sweet but tasty. I like that the peach flavor doesn’t taste fake peachy and it is not overwhelming the matcha. Not one I would necessarily buy but definitely worth a try. :-)
Preparation
I am not a huge Earl Grey person but I do find one I enjoy here and there. This is one I enjoy. I like citrus blends with earl grey. Bergamot tends to work perfectly with citrus. This is a very smooth earl grey no bitterness at all. I even got some creaminess from it without having to add milk which was a definite plus!
Preparation
I really love this tea. The smell of the tea is delicious. I wanted to eat it. The steeped smell is just as good. The flavor is really mild but nutty and sweet. Which has made it perfect for an evening tea the last couple nights. I am definitely going to order a full amount from Naked Teas Galore since I really want to have this in my stash now :-)
