Fruity white tea! At first it made me think of peaches, but for the second steeping it just reminded me of generic fruit, if there is such a thing. :) This seems like a fairly indestructible white tea, I used water that was too hot and steeped it too long and it still tasted great. The flavor lingered for a while after I drank it. Not really a tea to go with food, at least the turkey sandwich I had with it. The sweetness counteracts the turkeyness. For some reason this is a really crunchy tea; the leaves just flake apart.

Nope…nevermind… I take back the part about multiple steepings. Second and third infusions stay sweet but don’t have the same grassy kick..still good though. I finished the last of this today in the process of making room for some new additions to my tea stash and I forgot how good this one was. I always end up steeping this one a little on the hot side but it still came out sweet with only a slightly astringent aftertaste. The sweetness fades as the tea cools off though.

This tea seems strong enough to maybe make a good iced tea — I left alone for a bit and the room temp this time of year is enough to chill it ;)

Technically I’m not a Gemini—my husband ordered tea for me and used his birth date instead of mine and I’m really glad he did. This turned out to be one the best flavored green/white teas I’ve had, and I’m kind of picky about flavored teas. Peach complements green tea well. I steeped every bit of the tiny tin for as many times as it took to suck all of the flavor out of the leaves and this tea has made it on my wish list for when I eventually clean out my tea stash.

Definitely one of the lighter green teas I’ve had this week — it has exactly the right amount of grassy-ness. I haven’t got it to stand up well to multiple steepings. The first cup is great but the second cup loses a lot of flavor. The third and fourth steepings are a little better but still not as good as the first.

Bio

I’m a 25 year old software developer working from home in (mostly) sunny Southern California. The best part of it all is being able to use my zojirushi for an endless supply of tea…mwahahaha….

I drink mostly pure green, oolong and black tea – but I have been known to fall in love with the occasional flavored tea (I’m looking at you, Lupica Melon Oolong).

My rating scale is rather arbitrary, since I find it kind of hard to compare teas on a numerical scale. The text part is much more useful…provided I can figure out how to describe the tea.

The rest of my time I spend in yoga, zumba, hanging out with my beagle and husband, cooking, reading, trying to learn to draw, and attempting to not play Skyrim. I’m never going to finish that one.

The only teas I stay away from are rooibos, since that gives me a weird headache thing. Other than that, I’ll try anything once.
