drank Cozy Chamomile by Bigelow
1839 tasting notes

Let’s continue with postcrossing THANK YOU envelope, tea 5/6 After 26 days.

I am not a fan of Chamomile as you all know already. Especially when it’s only ingredient.

This tea isn’t an exception. Just seeing the chamomile dust in the bag made me gag. Aroma, yuck, chamomile.

Taste is dusty. I had so many better chamomile teas! Dusty, with hints of herbals, mostly naturally chamomile. It isn’t sweet, rather like easting raw pollen, it tickles a bit in throat. Well, well…

Cozy? What’s cozy on chamomile (of course I know the relaxing effect)?

Tomorrow I am leaving for weekend getaway (thanks ashmanra for this word). So I won’t post on Steepster, though I will try have at least tea for breakfast. I hope I will return to same Steepster as I am leaving it. Although it was okay most of the day, I got few 504 ERRORs now. But okay I guess.

Preparation
10 OZ / 300 ML
White Antlers

Enjoy your getaway, Martin. Having a break from the routine is way more relaxing than any amount of chamomile. : ) For the record, the stuff that you find in chamomile tea bags IS dust. Good, dried chamomile is lovely; it almost smells and tastes like apples-but I am not trying to change your mind.

I don’t like chamomile at all, even the full flowers. I typically love florals, but something about the taste of chamomile is off-putting and… kinda soapy to me? (I know most people describe lavender that way, and I love that stuff! But I do understand it). There are some blends that use it, where if the taste is minor enough under the other ingredients, I am okay with it, though.

I hope you have a fun getaway!

Enjoy your weekend! I don’t mind chamomile, though it tends to be overused. I’d much rather see it in tea than licorice or hibiscus!

Enjoy that getaway Martin!

@Leafhopper: And I’m that one weirdo that actually likes licorice and hibiscus, heh.

I am drinking almost everything. Tea bag collector who moved to wonderful world of loose leaf.

Trying to rate differently tea bags and loose leaf as tea bags have usually worse quality.

Photographer now and then. Postcrossing and geocaching member. Very curious person. Logistics student (should finish in June 2021).

Buried in tea right now. Is in my cupboard (trying to be updated) which sparkled your interest? Write me, I would gladly share with you. But I don’t want anything in return now :)
