drank Tulsi Dosha Chai by Teavana

I had high hopes for this tea. The leaves smell very good.
I found that upon brewing the flavor didn’t equate to the scent of the tea leaves. I can taste a hint of cinnamon and cardamom. I was surprised the rooibos didn’t present stronger.
I found a strange after taste with this. I can’t really put my finger on what it is but I definitely don’t expect to encounter it while sipping tea.
I found this tea too tame for the ingredients listed. I would suggest it to someone who wants a mellow tea to relax with in the evening.

It could be the tulsi, that has a strange herbaly flavor in my opinion

This is one of my favorites. None of the flavors over powers any of the others. Coconut, vanilla and chocolate are a very good mix in my opinion. It is also very creamy.
The rooibos and Nilgiri compliment each other well.
Very nice dessert tea.

I bought this tea to blend with a couple others in my quest of replacing the old Thai tea from Teavana. This tea is good enough on it’s own though.
It is definitely a coconut tea. What I really enjoy about this one is that it actually tastes of real coconuts. Perhaps the flakes are responsible.
The tea base is a bit woody but very mellow. It just pops up to let you know it’s there.
There is a creamy taste as well. Maybe those coconut flakes again.
Over all a good tea that isn’t very complicated. It tastes exactly like it should.

drank Strawberry Sunset by Cup and Kettle

This tea is pretty hard to explain for me. There some complex flavors in it I may not have encountered before. I do enjoy it and would like to keep it stocked.
I notice strawberry first. Immediately after I identified strawberry, I found a tartness I can not relate to in any other of my experiences. It may be the strawberry bits. There is a spice taste that is reminiscent of cinnamon. I don’t think it is cinnamon though. There is crisp flavor I lack the vocabulary to describe.
I may not have encountered it before. There is a pleasant after taste of strawberry lip gloss.
I find this tea light, fruity and very mysterious. I should rename it pixie or fairy tea.

drank Honeybush Vanilla by Teavana

I’m a big fan of the rooibos and honeybush teas. I really love vanilla too. I didn’t pick up the vanilla so much in this tea. It does have a creamy taste to it. It has the spicy residual flavor I expect from rooibos or honeybush.

drank Cacao Mint Black by Teavana

I definitely taste the mint in this tea. Having said that, I think the mint is an extract. It has a funny almost medicinal flavor. I smell the cocoa more than taste it. It’s there just not in the same strength as the mint. Not a bad tea but I like my Moroccan Mint much better.

drank Thai Tea Blend by Teavana

A friend gave us this tea to try and I’m so glad she did. I am really disappointed to learn it was discontinued. I have looked many places trying to find a replacement, but have failed so far.
I think the black and rooibos teas balance each other out especially when combined with the coconut, almonds and vanilla. Sweet, smooth and mellow. I really enjoy this tea.

drank Orange Spice by Davidson's Organics

I was excited to try an orange spice since my fiance really enjoys it. We bought a pound of it off of amazon to our disappointment.
I had a hard time picking up the orange flavor. There was a bitterness that may have been orange peel. I also picked up a candy taste for lack of a better term. Like the old christmas candy in the paper bags with out the peppermint. I failed to pick up any spice in it.

Again more of that lovely cinnamon, with an interesting orange note. A nice tea to snuggle up with on a cold day.

With my first steeping I pick up pineapple and cinnamon. It always reminds me of the ewoks except they are little cinnamon bears dancing around.
My second steeping I could detect the cardamom and anise I believe. It still tastes mostly of pineapple and cinnamon with the cinnamon being the strongest flavor.
I think this is one of the best teas to wake up to in the morning. It will definitely perk a person up.

I’ve discovered I really like the spicy, nutty teas. Some fruity teas are pretty good but they are hit and miss for me. Flower teas really aren’t my thing right now. Seems like my preferences are changing so this may be different in the future.

Tea Rating system:

90 – 100: This is a tea I will always have on hand at work, and at home. I will leave it on altars as offerings of perfection.

80 – 89: This, or one of it’s close cousins, will likely be in my cabinet at home. When this tea runs out, I will buy more. I’ll always wonder if there is something better, but be too afraid to look to stray from home to find it.

70 – 79: Definitely good, but not a clear winner. I enjoy it, I’ll finish it, but I probably won’t buy it again until I’ve exhausted all other versions of this product from any reputable retailer. Though, it may enjoy a resurrection for custom blending.

60 – 69: This tea is okay, but definitely not something I’m going to brew again. I’m going to give what I have left away.

30 – 59: I didn’t finish drinking this tea. I actually poured it out, and went for something else. I’ll still give this tea away, but I’ll do it with a warning and a plead for forgiveness.

0 – 29: This tea is riding securely towards an iceberg at the helm of the failboat. I’ve taken this out of my tea tin, and laid it on a napkin as potpurri. I do not consider it fit for human consumption.

Yes, I did copy this from Dylan. It’s okay we share every thing any ways.
