20 Tasting Notes

Did I mention how good this tea is after a second steeping? It becomes quite a bit more mellow yet just as refreshing. Definitely recommend the second infusion!

This was actually the first pound bag I bought from Adagio. A rich dark liquor with a crisp refreshing taste. I actually drink this for breakfast more then anything. Think it would make an excellent iced tea as well, really enjoy it as it cools.

A comforting end of the day tea. Not spectacular, but nothing to complain about. I add a little extra honey to mine. The aroma is frankly the star of the show here.

Heavy crumpled balls of dry leaves, gorgeously unfurl imparting color and flavor to the tea.

If I could sum it up in one word it would be “Earthy”. The color is a deep green/amber, echoing the earthy flavor. There’s a slight floral aftertaste that is refreshing. Stays enjoyable even as the tea cools.

All in all a very solid, enjoyable Oolong.

A soft subtle Earl Grey. At least compared to previous Greys I’ve tried. The bergamot is almost an underlying scent. It’s there, you know it’s an Earl Grey, but it doesn’t over power you. I tend to like my Grey’s strong, may try a longer steeping time for my next cup.

A very light and simple tea. Not anything special really, but it’s always there. I recommend washing the leaves first. The second infusion is much less “grassy” then the first. Unless that’s your thing.
