Thanks to Mel for sending me some of this tea.

Well, I’ve certainly tasted better Green Tea with Lemongrass blends, but this isn’t horrible. It definitely tastes to me like the citrus flavor of the lemongrass has been enhanced with lemon flavoring, because this tastes much more lemon-y than lemongrass usually tastes. I am not getting a lot from the rose petals or the peppermint that is supposed to be in this blend, although some mint notes do weave in and out of the flavor as I sip. Just-barely-there notes though.

For me, the best thing about Good Earth Teas are the inspirational notes on the tags. Here’s what my tag had to say:

drank Coconut Cream Pie by 52teas
4843 tasting notes

Delish! I dug this out of my stash the other day because I sent some to a friend, and after packaging that up, I realized I was down to just 2 cups worth of this tea! But that’s OK… I’ve so much tea in my stash that it is a time to celebrate when I get to the bottom of a package. Tea should be enjoyed, not hoarded (that’s what I keep telling myself, hopefully it will sink in soon).

Anyway… this is really one of 52Teas best. It is sweet and creamy and coconut-y. I like that I am getting the cream pie in there too … although, I would like to get just a touch of Frank’s BUTTER flavor that he does so well in this… because I think it would really lend a defining note to the “crust” part of the pie. I guess that is the only thing I’d change about this!

Hey, Frank, if you’re reading this (and I know that you are!) … I am still eagerly awaiting my Tomato, Basil and Black Pepper Green Tea Blend.

I haven’t forgotten the tomato basil blend. I actually requested some materials for that from my supplier and they sent me everything I asked for BUT that, so I will have to bug them again soon.

Janefan

yay! I’m interested in that blend too!

Lori

Yes this coconut blend is really nice….

So good! The flavor is almost CREAMY. It tastes very decadent. Full-bodied and very satisfying.

Definitely one of the best black teas out there!

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this… now I’m off to write a full-length review for our SororiTea Sisters Blog (http://sororiteasisters.com )

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea.

I really like this one – very creamy and delicious. The vanilla and the bergamot meld together nicely and create a sort of “caramel-y” flavor. Really really nice.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We aren’t celebrating thanksgiving today, because my hubby has to work because it’s one of the busiest travel days of the year (he’s the night manager for an airport shuttle service), so we have our thanksgiving on his next day off (which will probably be Sunday).

I am finishing up the sampling of this tea that TeaEqualsBliss has sent to me (thanks again!)

Rich, delicious, malty. Smooth and brisk! A lovely tea for first cuppa. I like it with a little drizzle of honey just to soften the edge a little. The honey brings out some of the sweeter undertones of this tea very nicely.

One of the nicest Indonesian teas I’ve tried thus far!

Thanks to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea.

I have reviewed this tea previously, you can read the review here:

It’s a very good tea – very light in flavor. I think this tea is named perfectly because it really reminds me of winter… and since we have been experiencing snow and freezing weather over the last couple of days, I think that this is the perfect tea for this evening!

Thanks again TeaEqualsBliss!

I have tried a few different jasmine silver needle type teas, and of the ones that I’ve tried, this one is my least favorite. I am not exactly sure what it is about this tea, but, it isn’t as good as it could be (based upon previous experiences).

The jasmine flavor is overpowering and too sharp and even bitter tasting, while the white tea flavor is nearly non-existent as it has been overwhelmed by the jasmine.

This is quite disappointing, actually. Not one I’d recommend to others.

Did you take the jasmine flowers out before you steeped? I had a problem with a sharp, bitter taste too, until I remembered some random advice I’d read at some point about taking the jasmine flowers out. Brewed muuuch smoother

LiberTEAS

I probably did not take the flowers out … as a general rule I don’t add anything to a tea or take anything out. I figure if the tea company wants me to like the tea, they should do that work themselves. :)

I am obsessed with tea!

I am a co-founder of the SororiTEA Sisters:

The reason I’m no longer writing for SororiTea Sisters is because I am now the Mad Tea Artist for 52Teas:

I’ll still be posting occasional reviews on teas here on Steepster, mostly backlogged reviews because I’m way behind on getting reviews posted. That’s why I’m keeping two accounts active at the current time – so that I can get those backlogged reviews posted.

My favorite teas are Yellow Teas with most Oolong teas at a close second. As far as “flavored” teas go, I love Earl Grey, Chocolate and Jasmine teas.

I also am intrigued by flavored teas with an unusual or unique flavor combination, which is why I was very excited to be the Mad Tea Artist of 52Teas!
