I am in love with this tea. Then again, I find myself falling in love with just about any tea that Butiki Teas offers. Butiki Teas rocks my socks (and the rest of me too.)
Nice buttery notes – not to heavy – and hints of peach. Soft floral tones. This tea is definitely worth taking it through it’s paces. I got six infusions out of it, and each were well worth the effort! I like this tea a whole lot.

I discovered this tea at my local produce market earlier in the summer. I decided to pick up a tin because I love cold-brewing teas … and it’s so easy with these big pouches of tea. I’m not usually all excited about bagged tea, but, for cold-brewing … it’s so convenient that I think that convenience wins out over the mess of cold-brewing loose leaf tea.
A really tasty iced tea. A nice watermelon-y flavor, a little on the sweet side, yes … this does have that jolly rancher watermelon stix flavor to it, but, hey … I loved those things when I was a kid so I’m not complaining … it’s still really tasty. The mint is a delicate flavor and I like that. Mint can sometimes really overpower a tea, I’m glad that it didn’t here. It comes out just enough to add some complimentary flavor without getting out of hand.
A really tasty tea. I might buy another tin of this tea next year when summer arrives.

I love the base of this tisane, it’s oxidized rooibos (red rooibos), un-oxidized rooibos (green rooibos) and honeybush! It’s a great combination, because the flavor is sweet, honey-like, with notes of nut and fruit. A really nice complement to the lemon meringue pie flavors we’ve got going on with this tisane. Mmm!
The lemon-y notes are sweet, like lemon curd. Notes of vanilla, and every once in a while, I taste hints of butter. It works very well in tricking the palate into thinking that it’s drinking a slice of lemon meringue pie.

This is a slightly different-than-I-was-expecting sort of Sencha. A lighter grassy tone here than in a typical Japanese Sencha. A delicious hint of toasty-ness in the aroma of the brewed tea that I really liked. Warm, nutty tones to the cup.
This is sweet, but toward mid-sip, there is a savory tone that is almost broth-like. Slightly salty, even.

When I read the name of this tea, my immediate thought was “Oolong” (Big Red Robe) But this is a pleasant black tea.
And pleasant is the word for this tea. It isn’t particularly bold or robust or even well-rounded. It has a pleasant flavor that is sweet. Hints at a savory quality. Moderate astringency.
Floral and fruity notes with a honey-esque undertone. Not my favorite black tea blend … but certainly pleasant enough that I’d drink it again if I were offered a cup.

The Ceylon teas that I’ve tried from this estate have all been so good!

I found this tea in my stash some time ago, and I feared that it would have been stale, but it wasn’t. The sample had been sealed well, so the flavor was intact. This is a really delicious tea.
A very delightfully floral and crisp tasting tea … something that enlivens the palate … great for afternoon sipping.

I enjoyed this tea. Lovely notes of fruit … the sweet notes of a plum and of currants, but without the sour tones that usually accompany these fruits. Hints of caramel in the background. Astringency develops as I sip.
The tea is reminiscent of a fine, dry red wine. Robust, full flavored, but also with a mellowness that is quite nice.

I wasn’t all that impressed with my first infusion of this tea. It was alright, but just alright. Kind of “meh” … you know?
Then I brewed the tea a second time. (Not a resteep of the leaves.) This tea benefited from not reading the package steeping parameters and going with my own “go to” steeping parameters for a white tea. 160°F for 5 – 7 minutes. It’s much taster than the suggested 180°F for 2 – 3 minutes.
Good hot, but much better cold. Sweet berry goodness and a nice creamy tone. I love the notes of pomegranate in there too. A really tasty tea.

A really good Ceylon offering from Kally Tea. (By the way, Kally now has a full line of Organic teas … good stuff!)
This Ceylon has a certain gusto to it that I really liked … most Ceylon teas tend to be very even-tempered. Sort of just … there. You know what I mean? This one though has a good strength to it. Not over-invigorating but enough to keep me going. Robust and malty, which I always find surprising when I encounter a malty Ceylon. This is a good one.
