Decided to get this during the sale. The dry leaves smell very nice, like raspberry sherbert or sorbet. When brewed, more of a cake scent is present. There is more of a fruit flavour than a cake-like one. Though I get more cake as it cools. Will try it later with some chocolate teas.
Flavors: Cake, Raspberry
I like to have green tea while watching anime, it just seems to fit. So I made this before a few episodes of the The Slayers. It has a nice, creamy custard scent. There is also some roast nuts. The flavour doesn’t seem as strong now, but I really like the mild caramel.
Flavors: Caramel, Nuts
It was a dark and stormy afternoon… (seriously, it hailed on an event I attended.) Having already had hot chocolate at the Festival, I decided to go with this when I got home. It smells nicely like dark chocolate, roast nuts, and a bit like coffee. There is a dark chocolate flavour as well, with some coffee notes. Not very sweet, and strong, it is good for this weather. (Maybe this would go well with biscotti.)
Flavors: Coffee, Dark Chocolate, Roast Nuts
Happy Sunday! For Mother’s Day breakfast, we had cinnamon rolls and pecan rolls. (Got them for my mom from a local bakery.) So I picked this tea.
It has a light malty scent with some spices. The baked bread/ spice flavour went good with the rolls. Now I’m having another mug with my video game.
The sample I received since I’d asked for black tea. I really like the colour of the leaves. There is a nice, light floral scent. It has a bit of a floral flavour as well, with some fruit.
Since today was my day off, I decided to have some loose leaf tea again. That is kinda hard to do at my work, especially since there is no tea kettle (yet). So I am glad to try this sample. This is also my 500th tasting note. Whooo!
My latest sample. Decided to have this while watching anime, and playing Harvest Moon. The tea smells like seaweed, and a little spinach. There is a very seaweed- like flavour as well. It reminds me a little of wakame soup. (Will try again with sushi.)
Thanks for the sample, Yunomius.
Flavors: Green, Seaweed, Spinach
One of my press samples, since I wanted to try an oolong. There is a nice, kinda earthy scent. The flavour is a bit nutty, which comes out more in the second mug. I got a little bit of molasses in the first cup. It has a slight smokiness, which works for the tea.
Glad to try a roasted oolong again. Thanks to Yunimous for this sample.
Flavors: Molasses, Nutty, Roasted
So, today I went to Venice. I had this tea with my breakfast. It has that nice, light malty scent I really like. The flavoured is bit stronger, with hints of dried fruit and cocoa. There is some yam and honey/ caramel flavour on the second mug.
Overall, good, and I wish I had more.
Flavors: Cocoa, Dried Fruit, Honey, Malt, Yams
