51 Tasting Notes

I am not going to add a negative rating for this. It would be unfair to drop this tea’s rating when it is a personal hatred for bergamot AND roses – especially since it was sent as a free sample. I am willing to trade this if anyone is interested.

That’s very cool that you don’t rate something that you know you would never enjoy anyway.

Anny Oxidant & the Tea Bullie

It is really the only fair way to do it. :0)

You would be surprised how many people say “I forget about my tea and overbrewed it” and then proceed to give it a number rating anyway.

Anny Oxidant & the Tea Bullie

I think for reasons such as that, we should go to a standardized rating system.

This rooibos struck me as adequate but not the soothing and relaxing drink I was hoping for. I believe this was due more to the tense situation in my home at the time than to the drink its self. I will have to revisit this one.

I don’t think I could add anything different to the review of this tea that has not already been stated. The curls are like a poodle puppy who is fresh from the bath. Very cute. The smell is most definitely pepper and hay. Yummy hay. And the flavor is pepper and leather. I don’t get the sweetness but I have a young palate yet. A good tea.

A nice simple black. Perfect if you want it simple. No hints of sweet or floral or anything. Just straight up black tea. I’m not complaining-it was nice for a change. Great for a morning tea.

A good little tea. The peach flavor presents nicely to the nose and tongue. This is the best of the Orchard Sampler. It was pleasant enough hot, but cold is where it really shines. Especially since it is 97 degrees at the moment. ;o)

Not a bad tea if you like them mild. Just a hint of the grapefruit smell came through to the tongue. I don’t dislike it. It just doesn’t stand out.

Mild black with none of the orange aroma carrying over into the taste. Maybe if there had been more than two orange pieces in the entire sample…

I am not a fan of this chai. The bitter aroma carries over to the taste. Very little chocolate to speak of. Mostly it consists of cinnamon and mild spices. But not a great blend as you would expect in a chai. I am willing to trade this if anyone is interested.

Oh no. No. This tea smells like a week old pina colada gone bad. Gave it a shot anyway. Boy was that a mistake. It tastes the way it smells. Horrible. Could not finish the cup. Now I have an oily funk in my mouth. If anyone wants what is left of this sample, I would be glad to send it out the door. Really.

I am wondering if the White Cucumber I am having today is the same as that noted by others a few years ago. Perhaps Adagio changed the formula? The reason I say this, I get none of the harsh smell from the leaves. A mild “green” aroma but nothing much else. There is definately no cinnamon others had mentioned. A hot cup was a plain very mild white tea taste -not a bad thing. As it cooled though I was able to detect hints-small hints-of cucumber. Great tea if you want something very mild. Next time I will increase the amount of tea and note any difference.
