TTB #11
Wow, so much rose! From the other reviews, I was expecting the floral flavor to be a bit more subtle, but I found it very strong. It’s a nice, natural rose scent and taste, but just too overwhelming for me. I could see someone who’s really into floral teas LOVING this, however!

I’ve been having so much fun sampling a bunch of different teas from this box! This was another winner for me. The base is a lovely light, creamy green tea that would be delicious on its own. The peach flavor is natural, juicy, and sweet and the jasmine is very subtle, mostly showing up in the aftertaste. A great calming bedtime cup!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a rooibos/mate blend before and I find the concept quite odd, since I usually reach for mate when I need a jolt of caffeine in the morning and for rooibos when I need a caffeine-free option. But flavor-wise, the combination does seem to work pretty well in this tea. The roobios gives it a pretty orange color and the mate brings a touch of earthy richness to the otherwise light tropical flavor. I don’t think this is something I need in my collection, but I enjoyed trying it out!

Not quite sure what the flavoring is supposed to be on this one, but I got a strong rose scent and a flavor that was floral but also slightly fruity…it reminded me of peaches. This was a delicious start to my day!

Mmm, this is nice! It has a very rich, creamy mouth feel that really does remind me of eggnog. The flavor is mostly vanilla, with a little bit of coconut and just a hint of pineapple. Another keeper!

I’ve heard so much about 52Teas on Steepster but never tried any of their tea. So I was excited to see this one in the TTB! Although I can smell the marshmallow sweetness, all I’m tasting is lots of toasted rice, a bit of grassiness from the base and just a hint of strawberry flavor. This one’s not for me, but still glad I had the chance to try it out!

Republic of Tea sure nails the scents on their dessert teas! I could have sworn someone was baking chocolate chip banana bread in my kitchen while this one was steeping. Unfortunately, the flavor just can’t live up. I used 2 tea bags and steeped for almost 10 minutes, but I’m still finding this rather bland and watery. What I do taste is artificial banana flavor with just a bit of chocolate. On the plus side, there is no unpleasant rooibos aftertaste with this one!

Oh Lupicia, where have you been all my life? Every tea I’ve tried from this company has been stellar and Golden Honey Dew is no exception! It tastes like I squeezed a fresh, juicy honeydew melon directly into my cup…no artificial flavor, no woody roobios aftertaste. This is another one I’d love to try iced at some point.

This is exactly what the name promises…a cupful sweet, fruity, caramel goodness! The base is nice and smooth and doesn’t compete with the other flavors. I’m going to be keeping this one!

This isn’t tea…it’s white wine! Such a lovely, natural grape flavor with a bit of sweetness and just a touch of jasmine. I’m loving this hot, but I’m guessing it would be even better iced. Add this to the list of Lupicia teas I’ll be ordering whenever I can manage to justify buying more tea!
Flavors: Jasmine, Sweet, White Wine
