Not My Cup O’ Tea TTB
This is a nice, basic black tea blend. I found it to be smooth but flavorful and aromatic with notes of baked bread, honey, and stonefruits. Whoever placed this in the box included a note recommending a 3-minute steep instead of the 4-5 minutes prescribed on the bag and I agree…it was definitely strong enough after 3 minutes!

I’ve seen Tippy’s Tea quite a bit around Steepster, but this was my first opportunity to sample one of their blends. I have to say, I’m impressed! This is quite possibly the best vanilla tea I have ever tried. The base tea is a lovely chocolatey golden-tipped black that mingles perfectly with the rich vanilla flavor to create a truly decadent treat. I would definitely consider purchasing this one in the future!

Mmm, this is lovely! Lupicia really seems to nail their fruity flavors. This one is sweet, luscious mango with just a hint of zippy citrus to keep it from being too cloying. I enjoyed it hot, but I’m guessing it would also be amazing iced. Excited to be adding this to my tea collection for the summer!

I’ve been on the lookout for more herbal teas, so I was excited to find this one in the TTB. Unfortunately, Adagio’s chocolate flavoring is just not for me; too sweet and artificial. I finished my cup, but I wouldn’t drink this again.
Flavors: Artificial, Chocolate

This tea smells sooo good…like freshly-mixed brownie batter! But the taste was a total disappointment: very flat and artificial with an unpleasant astringency to the aftertaste. The addition of a splash of milk made it drinkable, but it was still one of the worst chocolate teas I’ve tried.

Got this as a free sample with my latest RoT catalog and tried it iced yesterday. I was surprised by how delicious this was! Spot-on pineapple and guava scent and flavor against a smooth, refreshing green base. I’m not really picking up on the orange, but I also don’t miss it. If I didn’t already have WAY too much tea in my cupboard right now, I would definitely consider purchasing a whole tin of this for the summer.

I’m wary of lemon teas, since many of them are super artificial and make me feel like I’m drinking lemon Pledge. But this one is lovely! Light and smooth with a true lemon flavor and a buttery sweet aftertaste that really does remind me of meringue.

Tried this one as a smoothie with breakfast. It had a lovely tropical aroma, but the taste just didn’t live up to the scent. It didn’t really come across as guava to me, just a generic, slightly artificial fruit flavor. It was okay, but not something I’d reach for again.

Mmm, this is delicious! Had it as a latte tonight and it was quite possibly the best flavored matcha latte I have ever enjoyed. The aroma was dead-on fresh caramel popcorn and the flavor did not disappoint: tons of sweet, buttery caramel that mixes perfectly with the nuttiness of the matcha to create a realistic popcorn flavor. Glad there are multiple samples of this one in the box, because one of them is definitely staying with me!
