A solidly wonderful green hitting the sweet, vegetal, and toasty notes the two teas bring to the table for a full and rounded taste. This one has earned a spot in the collection so long as nothing beats it at its game. And the pistachio-green color just makes me happy.

I agree with Dinosara and didn’t love the base tea. The combination of flavorings has the potential to be great but just didn’t make it. A cleaner base and somewhat bolder flavors would have won me over. It’s a pleasant enough tea, and I’ll certainly finish my 4-cup sample, but I won’t reorder.

I love cooking, gardening, photography, studying languages, alleys, riding bikes everywhere, snowboarding, travel, dogs, and oddly, housekeeping (as much as one can with another career). Also working on the lifelong dream of starting a business.

If I could only drink four teas ever again, they would be Black Beauty (Mandala), Huang Zhi Xiang Phoenix Mountain Dancong (Verdant), Silver Buds Yabao (Verdant), and Shan Lin Xi Concubine (Eco-Cha, at least the fall 2013). These teas are ridiculous.

Current tea shops under exploration:
Verdant
Mandala
Camellia Sinensis

Wish list:
Mountain Tea
Teavivre
Den’s Tea
Taiwan Tea Crafts
Tea Drunk
Suggestions welcome!
