This is excellent as an iced tea. It tastes strawberries and cream with a slight fruit-like/wine-like tartness. The aftertaste is also strawberry and cream with a slight off-taste that I haven’t even noticed prior times I’ve prepared this tea. When I make a pitcher of this tea it always goes fast. It’s delicious, but my favorite is still the Blueberry version.

drank Milk & Cookies by 52teas

So, I started this week off with a pitcher of Milk & Cookies iced and unsweetened. I prefer iced tea over hot tea in general because I hate waiting for hot tea to cool enough to drink. And, in particular, the teas from 52 Teas are almost always better iced in my opinion. The flavors are just better and the black tea astringency becomes an asset rather than a distraction. I don’t normally like or drink plain black tea because of the bitterness and astringency. In fact, the ones from 52 Teas are nearly the only ones that I’ve really liked.

Like every tea I’ve had from 52 Teas, I’m amazed at the flavor of this one. It tastes like creamy chocolate chip cookies. There is chocolate and and a baked taste. The slight astringency helps lend a baking soda aspect. There is even a creamy milk component. Most flavors are more prevalent in the forefront, the creamy note is more prevalent in the aftertaste. The smell of the tea leaves is also really delicious and mouth watering. I’m really enjoying this iced.

This is delicious. I love it iced. It is sweet, watermelon, and refreshing. I’ve rationed this one out because I like it so much. Strangely, there is a chocolate element, which is great. I suppose people taste things differently.

Chocolate, earthy, with a touch of spice. It feels very thick for a tea. It’s a good combination of flavors and doesn’t have any of the standard black tea bitterness or astringency. I like to drink this hot.

This tastes just like oatmeal with brown sugar and maple to me, which is a food I really like. I prepared it first hot and thought it tasted like a slightly flavored astringent black tea. Then I prepared it as a pitcher of iced tea. I did not add any sweeteners or other additives. As iced tea it is creamy and sweet with a slight and pleasing astringency. The brown sugar is more prevalent to me than the maple flavoring. The oat flavoring is present in the aftertaste, which is sweet and lingers. I have really enjoyed my first cup of this iced.
