Took an evening ceramics class today. It’s held in a big warehouse in Oakland which is bound to get cold, so I bundled up, tossed this in a thermos of hot water and let it steep until the cinnamon was almost overbearing. Should have only used one bag. Because of masks and covid, any time I wanted to take some sips of this and burn my mouth until layers of my cheeks were peeling I had to step outside the class area to remove my mask and sip. Hard way to enjoy tea. The second night of the class is next week and I was so disappointed with the class that I’m going to skip the second night. It wasn’t the class I was expecting. At least I have this hot cup of sweet cinnamon to thaw me out. I legit like this tea, but I killed it with the two hour long steeping. ’Twas a night of let downs!

Ceramics classes are usually pretty fun I’m sorry it didn’t end up being a good one. I love taking ceramics classes/ or just painting some during Winter.
After following derk’s roommate’s advent reviews, this tea will henceforth always be “the Celestial tiger tea” in my head.
I had signed up for a making molds for slip casting class that was canceled twice because of Covid and hadn’t been rescheduled, so I opted for a making multiples class which I expected to be a shortened version of the first. It was about how to use molds, not how to make them. If I had taken the other class first and had a mold of my own to cast, I’d have been into it. Choosing from generic bunny figure, pin up girl cup or bowl like molds was not my thing. I don’t care about them and I don’t want the end product in my house, so it’s hard to care about what color glaze I should use or touching up the flawed edges.
Celestial Tiger Tea makes it sound so magical! I like it!
