MMMMM….loving the smell of the tea leaves :) I bought a 6ozish sized container of this when I was at the O’Hare airport the beginning of July. The container is thick glass (unfortunately clear glass, so the tea will be affected by light, but it resides in my dark cupboard when not in use). The glass lets you see the leaves and strawberry pieces and it looks very nice, the leaves are dark and long.

While steeping this tea is very fragrant. It is sweet and tart, similar to strawberry fro-yo with a sencha background. On the tongue it isn’t quite so yogurty but more of a sweet strawberry flavor. The sencha is a great pairing for the strawberry and vanilla flavor as it is upholding it’s own against the strong strawberry. The vanilla adds a little creaminess to this tea. I wouldn’t need milk or sugar for this brew, it is good and flavorful on it’s own. Very happy I was able to get some of this tea.

Finally got around to trying this this morning and what do I do…I forget that it’s brewing as I go about my morning rituals. I think it steeped between 10-15 minutes. I’m screaming at myself in my head because this tea has got to be incredibly spicy by now…and I’ve ruined it. With high hopes I added 2 tbsp of soymilk and took a first sip. A second sip. After a third sip I was burning and tingling. I couldn’t drink anymore :( Will try again this afternoon…Cofftea, I don’t think I am up to the overnight in the fridge cold brew chai challenge with this one!!!!

I am kinda avoiding this one for now – the bottom of my sample package looks remarkably spicy!

Cofftea

Meghann M, I still think you should try it. I was shocked at how not scortching it was in the fridge. I nearly fell over when I read a 15 min hot steep though. lol. If this would ever happen again add 2x as much milk as the amount of water you used. I don’t think even 2TB of something thicker like coffee creamer would have been enough to save it lol.

Thanks Jessica for sending some of this my way to test out.

I was so impressed with the dry scent of this tea that I sniffed (huffed) the bag while the water was boiling. I love that there was a large chunk of pineapple mixed in with the honey bush. I love how sweet tasting this tisane is without any additions necessary. It tastes like a bite of sweet cake with sweet glazed pineapple baked into it and a slight hint of cherry. Yum. This was great hot and even better as it cools. I can’t wait for more of Frank’s honey bush blends!

Cofftea

I had my 1st Pineapple Upside-Down Cake about a week and a half ago. It was good when I avoided the cherries.

Meghann M

I have to avoid the cherries too. Love cherry flavoring, just not maraschino cherries!

Cofftea

I can’t stand anything cherry flavored… except for fresh Bing Cherries.

Thanks to Jessica I get to try another of Franks delicious sounding blends. This one wasn’t super impressive. I enjoyed the flavor of the green base, but couldn’t get much flavor out of the fruit cocktail. Tasted mostly like a muted fruit, maybe the sugary corn syrup the fruits soaked in, rather than the fruits themselves? That always had a mild fruit flavor to it. Not a bad tea, just didn’t knock my socks off like the Elderberry I cherish.

This was a great pick for a relaxing late night cuppa. The mints blend nicely with the tea and don’t whack you over the head with their minty selves. Glad I can still taste the green tea through them. I should have saved the leaves for an iced cup after the morning workout, but too tired to think clearly. Very fresh cup o tea. Maybe I’ll dream of winter…sounds good in the sweltering heat wave we’re currently under!

Another TTB from Teachat tea. Glad for the opportunity to taste so many signature blends!

Another sample from the TTB on Teachat. This is a very flavorful, sweet blend. I think this is the perfect afternoon black tea. Not too powerful, just smooth and wonderful.

Wow is this one berry fruity! This is a lemony, berry, slightly tart green/white tea. I wasn’t sure quite how to brew this one, but it turned out pretty great. I like the natural sweetness from the berry blast. I bet this would make one heck of an iced tea! Glad I have a bit more to try. Got this from a TTB passed around on Teachat.

I just crossed 200 recently, too … makes me feel like I’ve ACCOMPLISHED something … if only I had the same sensation in the real world!

Hooray on the 200th! :D

Yumm! This tea is just the warm spicy creamy cup of joy I needed this morning. The cream and vanilla green really make the thai chai much more enjoyable. This is a great blend, especially when I added a little bit of milk to it. Thanks Rachel for sending this my way!

Live in the cornfields of IL, but not too far from the city. Expecting a baby any day now (due Oct 24 2011). Sticking to mainly herbal and low caffeine teas for now. Trying to encourage my husbands tea drinking, but he adds so much sweetner he may as well just drink diet pop. I love trying new teas, and will try any tea once.
