I don’t normally enjoy fruit infusions. That said, I haven’t really had a lot of them, tending to favor black teas. This was a sample included with a gift and an enjoyable cup in the evening after work. Fabulous aroma pre-steep and beautiful color upon steeping. Tasted very much like berries and maybe almost a little like a hot Koolaid. I suspect this would be quite refreshing as an iced drink. Don’t think I would buy this one but if I received another sample, I’d try it iced.

drank Vanilla Comoro by Harney & Sons

After drinking up a sample from Harney, I decided to buy a tin of tea sachets from Target when it was on special. This is a good tea and especially since one can enjoy the hint of vanilla black without caffeine later in the day. The vanilla is not strong, however, so if you are looking for a wowser vanilla factor, this tea is not the one for you.

Not liking this sample I received with my order. Tastes like rooibos with hot cinnamon spice flavor but watered down. A little medicinal also. I would not buy this to be sure. The other samples I got with my order are duplicates of samples the last time I ordered. Not sure why they don’t send more variety of samples.

Yum Yum! I really have enjoyed this tea. Only have enough for one more cup which means I may have to order some as I know I won’t get up to Leavenworth for quite some time. It smells Devine and the flavors of chocolate and strawberry are wonderful while not overpowering the black tea base. Love tea #7 from Davids Tea is a close match for this flavor duo but I am out of that so can’t do a real taste match at the moment. Little chocolate chips are in this tea and it can be steeped a second time but definitely not as good as the first steep.

drank Lanikai by Lupicia

I had high hopes for this tea after such a wonderful aroma met me upon opening the packet. However, upon steeping for 3 minutes, the aroma had something almost burnt in it. I tasted it without additions and there is a bitterness which seems odd because there is also a nice vanilla scent and little sugar crystals in it. So I went ahead and added a tiny bit of sugar and milk. Bitterness improved with additions, but the Black tea base is not coming through much. Not really sure what to think of this one but may try it iced to see if that helps. This is my second tea I am trying from Lupicias Hawaii collection and so far, it’s 2 for 2 bombed.

I received this as a sample with my order several months ago and finally finished it up. It was enjoyable, very tropical and fruity. However, it is the sort of tea one must be in the mood for because it has so many flavors. It is probably great as iced tea but I had it hot each time. Im not sure id actually go forward with ordering more, but sInce it doesn’t appear to be offered currently, I can delay my decision!

drank Caramel & Rum by Lupicia

I’ve been missing out!! I just attempted the stovetop method using Caramel & Rum by Lupicia per instructions from Tealizzy and YUM!! Used a little brown sugar too. This is definitely a wonderful alternative to hot cocoa and just as comforting. For me, this might be THE way to enjoy rooibos teas as I’m not altogether that fond of them steeped with water. Thank you, Tealizzy!

This is a nice vanilla black but I feel like it’s needing a bit more “something”. I do like to taste black tea and not have flavoring overpower the basic tea, but this needs just a smidge more. I’ve enjoyed my sample but will look for other vanilla alternatives. Mighty Leaf is okay but I wasn’t too enamored with that one either.

I like periwinkle from persimmon tree and they’re having a 30% off sale for Black Friday, FYI. ;)

Oh, not decaf though.

Update to my review on Monkey Bread….guess I am now sort of addicted to the flavor and, since I am officially out of it, will plan to order more from DT Teas. Perhaps Black Friday?? :)
I think it has a new name, however, so will have to research that.

Ok, did some research and it appears this tea is now called Cinnamon Bun.

Tealizzy

Yep! That’s it!

I love tea! I started drinking tea in the morning in high school after finding it delightful to put the kettle on first thing and savor that hot cuppa, thanks to my Dutch grandmother. Mostly I drank black and green teas in bags until about 3 years ago when my daughter bought me a steeper from Teavana, making loose tea my favorite. My favorite brands are Harney & Sons, Lupicia, and Stash loose leaf. I would have to say that I am addicted to Harney’s Paris!
Besides drinking several cups of tea per day, I love to hike, do Zumba, knit, read, and dream up trip ideas on my iPad.
