This is just lovely!
It’s crisp as an iced tea – like a fresh raw apple sprinkled with cinnamon.
It’s super relaxing and I would have no idea there is rooibos in it if I didn’t look at the ingredients. A very unique and tasty tea, not overly flowery.
I’m not sure if I would like this as much hot as I do iced, I’ll have to try it hot some day!

drank Chocolate Rocket by DAVIDsTEA

I love this tea and drink it every morning, but I always wondered what it wouldbe like with a dash of cream!
Heaven? Creamy and milk chocolatey?

No, my friends, no. It is sour and the flavour is ruined. So do yourself a favour and learn from my mistakes – keep your Chocolate Rocket clean.

The more you know…

Jenn

You made me hear that “The More You Know” music in my head at the end of your post :) Nobody likes a dirty Chocolate Rocket!

Plunkybug

See now, I love it with milk in it, though I much prefer an almond or soy to add to the nutty flavour of the almonds and chocolate. I make this the way I make coffee. Yum!

Daisy Chubb

I wonder if the cream I added was a little off, because I’ve been having milk in my other mates and it suits them just fine! It may also just be this tea, I have no idea. haha!

Plunkybug

It could be! I know the last time I had this tea, I was using Silk Vanilla coffee creamer…basically a thickened soy milk for better consistency. I don’t have any now, so I am just using plain old Homo milk, and that works well too, just not as nice to my tummy.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the day that I craved this tea so I could drink it again and give it a proper rating. A rating proper.

It’s just what I needed, smooth and sweet – a nice light flavour (first steep 2.5 min)
Creamy goodness.

Second steep: refreshing and thirst quenching! It’s a really crisp brew, nice! (3.5m)

Third: It’s taken on almost a new taste altogether, the milk is in the background now – and a faint buttery spinach with a bit of sweetness is on the forefront (5m)

drank Lime Gelato by DAVIDsTEA

I just had to see what all the fuss is about!

Yep. wow. it’s a good’un. Another one that tastes just like it smells. mm creamy and lime-y without being overly tart or sour! Reminds me of a lime jell-o dessert made with condensed milk. This is the creamy-taste that I imagine 52teas Cheesecake teas might have, but I dunno!

Much better than the Mom’s Apple Pie I had to dump out of my mug, lesson learned!

SimplyJenW

Wow. Just wow. I have noticed that many of those that I follow avoid the discussions and just stick with the tea log and those they follow. It makes for a much more peaceful experience.

Uniquity

I’m glad you enjoy Lime Gelato (I <3 it)…less glad to see the internet drama. : (

Jenn

I’m so sorry sweet pea! Sometomes sucky people suck extra much and that really sucks! You have a circle of good and kind Steepsters around you. AND don’t you forget it :)

Erin Hurley

I have NO idea what thread you’re talking about or what happened, but BUMMER! I got your teas today! At least come back to see reviews! Yours is all packaged now and ready for sendin!

Uniquity

I reported the thread and Jason locked it, so things couldn’t escalate further. Steepster tends to “disappear” the ugly things :)

Daisy Chubb

Oh thank you guys!!! … gals! :D
I’m at home now and have had some time to cool down. Maybe I’m the dramatic one.. haha! Anyways, I could never leave all yous behind. You’re the best part of my days and I check this website when I wake up and before I go to sleep and I just couldn’t go away forever :(
So I won’t. :) I’m just going to take your advice and avoid the discussion area for a while, swim around in the part of Steepster i love the most and what have you. Words! I fail at them. But long story short, you guys are the best and thank you SO much for making me feel welcome and absolutely at home

I’m here to stay. With less drama (well, just the good kind heh. The kind that comes from an amazing tea or person I just can’t keep quiet about!)

Erin Hurley

Grrllll, that business is in da MAIL!

Daisy Chubb

Thanks Erin ^^ Can’t wait! Literally, I will pace all day every day.
I hope you enjoy your teas, with a vengeance!

The Seattle Tea Snob

Staying out of the boards is definitely more peaceful, but the boards can be quite entertaining, apparently I am fair more offensive than I could have ever dreamed, and I don’t even have to try, that’s how good I am. :)

But that is neither here nor there what is truly important is that your new profile pic is awesome, I’m kinda jealous, and more than a little curious what its off of?

Erin Hurley

Plants Vs. Zombies. It’s a game for iOS

Daisy Chubb

Yes! It is Plants vs. Zombies, indeed. A game which rocks my little world – and I am very picky when it comes to games. So! Yes!
I love reading your stuff Seattle, you are good :D Thanks!!

Ashley Bain

Eek. No idea what happened in the boards but I’ve been there done that. Almost left for good once. But thanks to some awesome Steepsterites I realized I can’t leave because of a few bad apples. Because there’s a lot of awesome people on here that make me smile, and understand my obsession for tea better than any of my family or friends. haha. I’ve made some good friends on here that makes me thankful I stumbled on the site and learned to overlook drama.
Oh and PS I received your teas, cutest bags EVER. I had some friends over when they arrived, and I was like EEEEEE!!! Look at my PRINCESS BAGS!! :D Your note made me smile so much. Thank you miss Daisy!! I hope you enjoy your teas :)

Daisy Chubb

Yay glad they arrived safe and sound!
Yesss I bought those bags special. Because you’re my princesses ^^
And also, hooray for good friends who look out for eachother and (of course) good tea!!

eek don’t let them make it for you at the store! Or rather, as the tea of the day. Or rather, at my store anyways haha.
Who knows! Either way, the water was too hot and it’s all bitter and I have a whole travel mug full. Come on agave, save the day?

Edit – well a teaspoon full didn’t quite save the day, but it’s drinkable now! And it dissolved so fast! That’s why I use agave folks. Not for the health benefits, or that I don’t like sugar, or the taste even – but it’s dissolving time and how you only need a little bit. That’s it that’s all.

Uniquity

I’ve noticed that teas prepared in store are (sadly) almost always bitter and burnt. I only buy tea there loose to brew at home but since all they do is tea you would think there would be more focus on proper steep times. At the 2 stores near me, at least, I notice that the same temp water is used for all teas. Eek!

Daisy Chubb

Yep I bet it’s the same at mine too. What’s up with that?
I’ve loved their iced teas all summer, but I don’t think I’ll be getting many of the $1 hot teas this fall haha. Not with the crazy amount of comments about the bitter/burnt to-go teas :( sadness.

Oh well, I’m lucky, I can make tea at work so I’ll just do what you do and stick with my own loose!

drank Buttercream by DAVIDsTEA

Another note time.

This tea is so strange when comparing the ingredient list and the name haha.
By far it is my favorite white tea by Davids. 100%. No contenders.

I added a little dollop of whipped cream to the top, and it has become very butter-creamy. I bet if it was steeped in milk it would take on the same effect!

Today I steeped it once for 30 seconds (my usual white time) and once for the reccomended 4 minutes, and I actually preferred it for the 4 minutes. Not at all bitter some how! But a deep, more layered flavour.

Yum.

Okay they must have oversteeped at my place because I thought for SURE that this was a rooibos. For reals. Anyways!

It’s peachy! It reccomends it iced (that’s how I’m drinking it), but I really want to try it warm. I imagine it to be deliciously creamy due to the yogurt! Even as iced, it has this creamy tartness
at the back of the tongue that reminds me of yogurt. It takes a while to taste it, but when you do it’s really unique!

I’m loving this tea, but I really need to take a little home to see how different it tastes when I brew it before I buy a lot. The stevia leaf sweetens it just perfectly without having the aftertaste I usually associate with stevia drops.

As the rain clouds part and show me a little sunshine, I feel justified in drinking this super yummy iced tea. I great contrast to the fall teas! Try eet.

It gives the same wonderful aftertaste that I get from the Long Life Oolong – this fuzzy peach sort of taste that is delightful

This has been by my side since I bought it.

In my travel mug this morning, keeping me warm in the freezing rain. I love fall because I get to wear dresses with tights!

Last night, I made the man love me by making whipped cream right in the bottom of our mugs with some brown sugar, then a scosh of dark rum (The Kraken) and poured the tea right over top. Yumtastic.

Faith

This sounds tea-gasmic!

drank Mom's Apple Pie by DAVIDsTEA
516 tasting notes

Now THIS one is like an apple cider tea.
It’s really quite nice, very fruity! It’s perfect without any sugar, but I bet if sugar was added it would taste even more like apple pie.

The green tea is really what makes it unique to apple cider. It feels so much better for me than a powder mix too! The green tea adds little toasty roasty notes that conjure up the crust perhaps, but for me it just grounds it and reminds me that it is still a tea.

I steeped for just under 4 minutes and it’s just right for me. I wouldn’t add this to my permanent collection, but it’s a very well balanced tea. Not too spicy, not too sweet. Great to drink on a cold, rainy day like today.

WAIT- it just hit me! This tastes just like my favorite shot! Apple pie shot – SoCo, Green apple sourpuss and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. I must add alcohol to this when I get home. a little spiced rum perhaps? Nice thing is, this tea doesn’t neet the tongue numbing sprinkle of cinnamon on top – it captures just the right amount!

EDIT – I added a dollop of soft vanilla ice cream on the top. Now THIS is apple pie.

EDIT again – Second steep has a lot of straight up green tea flavour, which I like a lot actually. Would be a good drink to have while eating a very sweet dessert

Daddyselephant

THANK YOU. I got this to go today and I’ve been trying to place the taste memory. Apple cider and caramel apple shots (green apple sourpuss and butterscotch schnapps) I am in love with this tea, this is a tinner for sure.

Daisy Chubb

yeah caramel apple shots are the bomb. the shizz. the best :D
I’m still finishing up my cup, but it is such a quality tea! Really feels like fall now n_n

Wonder what this tea would be like with a little butterscotch schnapps.. eh? eeeh?

Daddyselephant

Oh god…I wish I had money for liquor, all we have in the house is whiskey…which wouldn’t be bad…hmmm…

Jenn

Whiskey would so work! With a little bit of sugar… yum!

Daisy Chubb

Absolutely!!!
