Finally bought a big tin! Make a huge pot – it’s totally what I crave in the evening when I don’t have a sick amount of baking around :)

Also I made a giant pot and attempted to drink it all. Got up to go to the bathroom 3 times in the night. Bad side effect! So the next time I made a huge pot, I put the last half in the fridge for iced tea the next day. Um, wow. It was 10x more flavourful and so freaking delicious. So because of the sprinkles I won’t make this one hot over ice – but I will make pots and put them in the fridge to cool. Because it is out of the world good!

Sweet meets refreshing in a way that Nestea just can’t do. That’s this tea iced. YUM!

Bonnie

Good job!

tigress_al

That sounds like a great idea, I will have to try it!

Daisy Chubb

So so good!
Don’t be afraid of the sprinkle bits haha – I just let them settle to the bottom. The taste was worth it!

Just finished off my generous sample from LiberTeas!

I wanted an ice cold tea latte and although my brain wanted to take my time and rummage through the sample drawer, something inside drew me to this tea and immediately plucked it out and closed the drawer.

I’m glad the tiny tea beast inside chose this one! So freaking flavourful. Almost juicy with the flavour of the berries, but sultry with the slight smokiness and depth of the base. I only did a 2 min steep so no bitterness – just deliciousness. The cold milk made it a nice creamy treat. I’m out of agave, so I re-filled my bottle with some simple syrup I made and added a squeeze of that. Awesome blend – really glad I got to try it!

Oh my – found enough for one cup of this at the bottom of a tea drawer.
Um, yes. Hello! I still over-did it that time when I drank 100g in a week – but my love for you is returning Buttered Rum.

The sweetness. The coconut. The amazing rummy aftertaste. Yep, falling in love all over again. My wallet.. er.. not so much ;)

tigress_al

wow, 100g in one week…that is crazy! Did you also know that this is amazing as an egg nog latte during the christmas holidays!

Daisy Chubb

ohh man I’ll have to add that to my list of holiday drinks! It may have been closer to a week and a half, but it was way too short a time to drink that much tea and not get sick of it haha!

Kittenna

Wow… the only sort of tea I could imagine going through that much of in that short a time would be a heavy fruit tisane, used for icing!! E.g. Tropicalia, Luscious Watermelon. :P

Daisy Chubb

Yeah, I wouldn’t do it again, but it was my first “hallelujah! tea is delicious!” tea – that may have put me over the edge ;)

CHAroma

Hahahaha! And I thought 56g in a week was a lot. :P

This is delicious!
Thank you Stacy from Butiki Teas – I won 1 oz of this tea on Twitter!

It’s an awesome start to my day. The dry smell and brewed smell are teeming with sweet lemon. Lemon is something that I never think of – but when I drink it, I’m in happy heaven. AND when I eat it!

This tea is more than just lemon drops – I’m drinking it without sweetener and I’m getting the taste of sweet, tart, creamy and delicious lemon bars. Every family’s recipe is different – but every bar is amazing in my books. As is this tea.

There’s this great tingly, refreshing sensation after each sip. I’m not sure what ingredient does it, but it’s very nice and refreshing in the morning. Your mouth feels clean and fresh! Does that also make it a good date tea? I think so ;)

Mercuryhime

I totally always had lemon water on my dates. Lemon is a better breath freshened than gum, or so I think. And that tea sounds delectable!

Daisy Chubb

Yes! And lemon water is so much tastier than plain water. So simple!

Skulleigh

This sounds really good. I might have to put this on my shopping list. Sound like something that would be good iced.

Just got home from The Avengers and this tea is still on my mind!
First all all, thank you to Stacy of Butiki for sending me this sample! I’m excited to try everything – but this one smelled too good to pass up this morning.

I’m going to write a longer review later once I’ve tried a few more teas, but this one was a real treat! The flavour was very nice and strong – my favourite part was that it was definitely tangerine – I couldn’t confuse it with any other generic citrus flavour! It was very specific, juicy and refreshing. Would make an amazing iced tea I think. Oh and the cream! It’s so nice and sweet, just like a creamsicle. I’m obsessed with making my own creamsicle milkshakes lately (SO not healthy, but SO delicious!) and it reminds me of that!

I’m still a newbie when it comes to guayusa, but so far I’m liking it as a base. This one in particular was quite smooth and produced a dark brew. I used a teasac so the little bits didn’t bother me – all the guayusa’s I’ve tried so far have been quite fine (size wise) – but they hold up to a 5 min+ brew with no bitterness – just a stronger flavour!

Such a treat to try this tea, thank you!

ashmanra

So do you know about Agent Coulson? :D

Daisy Chubb

Yes! First name Agent ;D

so SO happy to have this back in my collection. and Fresh!
I had saved a tiny amount for months and months and it got stale, bleh. Fresh is good.

I made some iced tea today, hot over ice. I definitely prefer a coldbrew for this one (and other teas with melty bits). I just don’t like the cloudy “texture” of this tea when brewed hot then chilled – but I know the flavour is just as delicious when I coldbrew – so I’ll do that next time!

Just have to think in advance ;)

Bonnie

Nah 100 is fine! Usually people spend $10 – $15 at work (Calif.) on secret Santa or more. My office it was $20.

Daisy Chubb

Thanks Bonnie! Yeah I thought 50g just wasn’t quite enough – especially if you’re going to the trouble of buying something special and mailing it off. My thoughts anyways :) Thanks for the input!

Kittenna

I don’t know if you mentioned this elsewhere, but it’s not all of one tea, is it? As long as it’s not, 100g would be a good minimum IMO.

Dinosara

I agree with Krystaleyn, I would want more than one kind of tea because honestly I rarely buy 100g of one tea for myself because it takes me a while to drink it. On previous Steepster secret swaps I think there was just a $15 minimum, and then do what you like with it.

Daisy Chubb

Oh yeah, no it wouldn’t be the same tea haha – just a minimum amount of any kind of tea 10 kinds of 10g, 2 kinds of 50 g, just something to keep it equalish :) That should equal around 15 bucks – I’ll try tea amounts this time and if it doesn’t pan out, I’ll just do a dollar amount next time. Thanks gals – I should have the swap up soon! Appreciate the feedback!

On a different note, it’s pouring outside holy. the weather is wet here!

Cute! I loved the colour of this tea – vibrant green! Total kiwi!
We just got a to go cup with a little bit of agave – but I found it quite sweet!
I didn’t like it enough to take some home with me, but honestly that’s because I spent more money than I thought I would stocking up on cupboard staples – so just no room for this one right now.

I’m not the biggest kiwi lover either – I think the tea lacked a tartness that I associate with kiwis. I rarely eat a ripe kiwi I guess, they’re always sour to me haha!

Does anyone else eat the outside of the kiwi too? I can’t stand peach fuzz, but I can handle kiwi fuzz. Maybe it’s weird – I learned it from my uber Scottish stepdad so maybe it’s a Scotland thing – I dunno! ;)

Anyways, the tea was alright, didn’t blow me out of the water, but sweet and a nice iced green tea!

Kittenna

I’ve heard of eating the kiwi skin before, but typically never did as I swear it accumulated cat hair like velcro. I no longer live with a cat, but still feel like I wouldn’t be able to get it clean enough to eat. I find it more bothersome than peach skin though (which I do eat)!

Bonnie

I lived by Orland California (my parents retired in the town of Paradise no kidding) where they grow kiwi and nobody eats skin! The fruit was never bitter or tart either. Trouble with transported fruit is they pick it underripe.

Bonnie

Oh…if ripe people cut in half and scooped out like a hard boiled egg and didn’t peel. A whole bag cost a dollar and you could get a bag of doubles that looked like green boobs!

Daisy Chubb

mm sounds amazing! The best fruit can be found right where it’s grown, that’s for sure. I miss the okanagan… peaches and apricots drool.

Indigobloom

Bonnie, that’s how I eat it!!
Oh man I have to try this tea. I was hoping it’d go on sample but it hasn’t when I was around… (for some reason the link on their website showing what’s on sample never works for me)

Ian

I’m allergic to kiwi…. It really stinks because I love it a LOT

Bonnie

I’m allergic to potatos so no french fries! Which would you rather have …hum?
(I can have yam fries) …and no…catsup (allergic to tomatoes) …but mayo and mustard ok.
Ain’t life grand!

Indigobloom

yam fries are amazing, love them!!
I wish someone would make a yam tea…

Lindsay

yes. yes yes yes. I would drink a yam tea.

Ah welcome back Summer! Well, almost ;)
It sure felt like it today!

I spent a little too much in David’s stocking up on my favourites that I haven’t had in a while, but also I got 180g of Tropicalia so that’s probably why haha. Anyways – I did want to pick up a little of this.

Definitely delicious – but mellow. Melons! 100% best as an iced tea, in my opinion. But hey, all of my tasting notes are my opinion, so that goes without saying ;)

I’m distracted right now by the genius of Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Very distracted. So yeah – yum, juicy watermelon tea!

Kittenna

180g of Tropicalia? So random! I bought 3 of the 70g iced tea packs as I priced it out and it’s cheaper to buy the tea that way (unless there’s something different about it…. better not be!) But… MMMMM Tropicalia……

Daisy Chubb

haha I told her to fill up my tin and put as much in there as she could – it worked out to 180g because the tea is heavy to the max

Indigobloom

wow that must be an expensive tea, and it’s herbal! ;/

Daisy Chubb

Truth – still, it works out to around 50 cent a cup (the way I brew it), so I feel okay about it :)

Kittenna

That’s good! I should work something like that out sometime. Far cheaper than a pina colada, that’s for sure…!

Yeah, not gonna lie, I freaking love this thing.
Still figuring out how to make a good one at home. I think adding whipped cream on the top would fix anything wrong I did to it.

Whipped cream on everything pls!

ScottTeaMan

I’m not sure if I should “Like” a Tea Frapp-especially from Starbucks! OK, twist my arm. :))

Daisy Chubb

haha I know, it’s an abomination

Skulleigh

Hah! That’s my summer staple if I “have” to go to Starbucks. Hubs likes to go there from time to time. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

Mélissa

Ahhh, still figuring out how to make this properly too! All efforts are worthy.

Skulleigh

Mélissa, what recipe are you using? I should try my hand at a homemade one too. I have two jars of Matcha that I should really use.

Mélissa

I’m litterally just blending *sensibly dissolved * matcha with water, ice, agave, milk of choice, and my make-it-drinkable ingredient, DaVinci’s white chocolate sauce. There are probably better options out there (Please do share), but my colleagues like this recipe.

Skulleigh

The agave is the sweetener, right? I googled some recipies, and the ones I saw used vanilla syrup, which, I’m trying to think if I get any hint of vanilla in Starbucks’ version.

Mélissa

The question is how long until Tim Hortons decides to make/ruin this? hahaha.

Skulleigh

LOL, comments like this make me really hesitant to go to Tim Hortons if I ever go to Canada. They don’t seem to have a good reputation for anything tea related!

Daisy Chubb

(For Vanilla syrup I buy Vanilla Nesquik haha. It’s so cheap, and you only need like a spoonful, woop!)

Daisy Chubb

Oh yeah, don’t go to Tim Horton’s for tea haha :) But the bagels are good. ;)

Kittenna

Their non-coffee drinks are usually just fine! But yeah, tea not so much.

Kittenna

Durr, I meant coffee drinks, not non-coffee drinks (or conversely, substitute in ‘non-tea’).
