I finally have my 8oz bulk of this. It’s still just as amazing as before~ I can really taste the coconut notes this time though, very smooth and nice!

I love love love this black tea! I usually don’t go for blacks other than an occasional Earl Grey, but this tea makes me want to try more blacks because this is my favorite sample from them so far.

I’m most likely going to re-order this or try their Golden Yunnan Fleece tea. We’ll see, but I’m loving the rich roastiness and smooth mouthfeel!
So complex and so delicious. Even my mom is a fan. Haha.

Last Words: Black tea skeptics beware, Laoshan Black will knock yer socks off! Great tea!

Good afternoon~
I just had two mugs of this. It turns out that the second steep needs to be 175*F at three minutes just like the first steep.
But I’m considering bringing my steeping time for this tea down to 2:30 minutes on my next bag.

There’s less astringency with a lower temperature, but the tea does cool sort of fast because of it. I think I should have warmed my mug up a bit more.

On my 2nd steep today. I have so much of this tea I don’t know how I’ll use it all. Haha

I’m getting sweet, earthy, soil flavors this time. Pretty nice for the evening.

The dry herbs smell like caramel and vanilla wheat. Great dry aroma.
The steeped tea initially smells somewhat like caramel pee. Ahah yeah, but no need to worry it definitely does not taste like pee!

The chamomile is so soft and light in this tea, it’s very nice for people like me who don’t really care for herbals or strong herbal flavors.
It’s got almost a honey-like finish, and I love the hay/wheat aftertaste. That’s probably because I love barley teas like Boricha (Mugicha) which is a Korean tea.

Last words: Great herbal for those looking for a lighter and mellow herbal taste that still retains a nice sweetness.

The third steep of this tea is a good place for me, I’m liking it a little weaker surprisingly. The smokiness is dissipating and the earthy sweetness is coming out more. It’s much nicer and smoother.

Yum moment from this tea finally. :D

I love tea! I’m pretty flexible with my tastes, I’m willing to try any cup of tea that I can get my hands on. I won’t say that I prefer any certain type of tea, although I do have some favorites. Although my top-rated teas and favorites are subject to change.

Happy steeping. :)
