My father had a few individually sealed bags of this from his friend Rosemary. It was pretty good, but I’m still a little bit sick, so no ratings. Being sick and unable to enjoy tea is terrible!

Had this at a tasting at The Mandarin’s Tea Room. Unfortunately, I was sick, so I was not able to taste it well enough to rate the tea.

You didn’t sneak any of this out did you? LOL!

I have a sample of it at home, and am considering buying more with my next order. If I find myself in possession of more than 5 g, I will let you know!

I would gladly swap with you. I am sure that is an exquisite tea. I have a 2008 that is aging really well. Hopefully I will be around when it hits 30 years.

:-( I seem to have caught the cold that everyone else had and that I thought I had escaped! I have a tasting appointment on Sunday with Tim at The Mandarin’s Tea Room, but I may have to cancel and do it next time I’m in town. That would be sad! Oh well. This tea is keeping me hydrated and the honey I put in it is soothing my throat, but I can’t really taste much in this condition…

It’s a white Christmas in New York! :-) I’m visiting home, so this is what’s in my cup. Merry Christmas, Steepster!

I don’t even know how to rate this one. I believe if I still took my tea (as I did as a child) with lots of milk and sugar, I would absolutely love this tea. But the tannins in this could make pudding taste like chalk (pardon the bizarre analogy!). Besides that, it’s a really nice tea, insomuch as that’s possible. I kinda wish I had ordered more even tough I didn’t enjoy this particular cup, because I know I have enjoyed this in the past.

Tea means so many things to me, it is so deep and it is revealing new meaning to me all the time.

Tea is a mindfulness practice, and a doorway through which to explore different philosophies, cultures, and historical times. Tea is hospitality and a way of communion. Tea is an art, a ritual, and a tradition. Tea is a complement to the foods I eat (preferably vegan desserts) and is something I enjoy collecting and curating.

I love to swap, or even just send people samples, so if there’s anything in my cupboard you’d like to try, just send me a message!
