Tried this one as a sample last night. I had it in the store months ago as a sample and didn’t like it at all. So when I got the sample in my last order I was thinking of giving it away. But it has so many things I like I decided to say “what the heck” and give it a shot. Well I loved it. So good. I will defiantely be rebuying this one.

In my opinion, never, ever based your opinion on a DT instore sample. I don’t know how they mess things up so royally, but they do! I had one manage to ruin Jungle Ju Ju for me ages ago and I’m honestly confused as to how they did it >.<.

I have learned my lesson now for sure.

Got this as a sample in my last order from David’s. I have always wanted to try this one and tonight seemed the best night to do it. Stupid furnace isn’t working. Not sure what the issue is but the house is holding at 60 to 62F and it is supposed to warm up over the weekend and next week so we can wait a bit to get it looked at (like until hubby gets paid next week) And to top it off I am having a case of the sniffles. So hopefully this will warm me up and help me hold of this cold that is coming.

Taste is very nice. Kind of overwhelming with the almonds but I like them so that is ok. I was worried about the licorice because the only licorice tasting thing I like is Sambuca shots but you can’t taste the licorice at all in this. I think this is one I will get a small amount of so that I can have it when in the mood for it as I don’t think this is an every day tea.

drank Mom's Apple Pie by DAVIDsTEA

My son goes skating on Wednesday mornings and it was a rush to get out of the house today. I made this one on my way out the door thinking I would take the tea bag out when we got to the rink. Well I forgot. When I got back to the car I realized my mistake and was worried that it would be oversteeped. Well I can report that after 2 hours in the mug the tea was still good. Less apple and lots of cinnamon but still delicious. No bitterness at all. And the tea was still fairly warm too. It was a nice surprise and helped me recover (mentally) from the fall I had on the ice. 2 year olds will take you down with them when falling. Bruised knee and sore back later at least I didn’t land on him.

One of my most beloved DAVIDsTEA blends! Try it steeped in coconut milk… it’s to die for :)

drank Pumpkin Chai by DAVIDsTEA

Ok so it seems like this is one of the only teas I drink these days. I guess that is why I am almost out of my 100g tin I bought 3 weeks ago. (holy crap) Tonight I steeped the tea but put the brown sugar in the bottom of my travel mug before I added the hot water. Then after it steeped I added warm vanilla almond milk. So amazing. Best this tea has been. The brown sugar is what really brings out the pumpking for me I think.
I am now going to try this with the Chili Chocolate Chai from the winter collection (I think that is what it was called)

I bought some Vanilla Almond milk today and decided to make my pumpkin chai with it. I microwaved the Almond milk for 1 minute and then added it to the already steeped tea. Wow is it ever good. I didn’t need to add any brown sugar because the almond milk had some nice sweetness to it. Next time I am going to try and do this on the stove top and boil the tea leaves in the almond milk.

I can’t believe I haven’t logged this one yet. This is my third or fourth drinking of this tea. I am loving it. It seems to be my go to tea for the “I am feeling crappy and need a pick my up” nights. It is a great green that I haven’t managed to turn bitter by oversteeping yet. The pomegranite gives this a sweet but also tart flavour to it. Definately a rebuy.

Uniquity

This is one of the few that I actually drank enough of to refill my tin. Then, according to Steepster, I didn’t drink it for nine months. Whoops.
