I have had this tea in the past and have a distinct memory of it being gross. However, I decided to give it another try since its in this calendar, and nothing has changed. Its still gross. The mint flavoring that initially hits your tongue is fine, but there is an overpowering aftertaste that is, for lack of a better fitting word, yucky. It may be the chamomile or the valerian, I’m not sure, but its gross. There is also something that is sourly sweet, and I usually love sour, but no.

It smells amazing, and similar to Forever Nuts, so my hopes were very high while this tea was brewing. Unfortunately, the flavor when brewed wasn’t as strong as I had hoped, and while it was tasty, it just didn’t have the fullness that Forever nuts does. There are so many ingredients to this one that I really don’t taste, but the overall effect is nutty, smooth and hinted with chicory. Very pleasant and enjoyable, but disappointing from smell-to-taste.

Oooh, toasty! This tea is warm and inviting, with subtle green tea notes and a lovely toasted rice/rice cake flavor. Its nice and mellow, the perfect kind of cup for a stormy day (which incidentally, we are having). This is a tea I could drink cup after cup of in one sitting and not be bored or overwhelmed.

Oh dear, this is like drinking an Almond Joy-Peppermint patty baby, which is not a positive experience. Its not horrid as far as coconut goes, and the mint will mask the worst of it, but its still strangely reminiscent of toothpaste. Where are the apple and blackberry leaves!? They could have made a huge difference.

This is a simple black tea, perfect for Sunday morning. I usually don’t add anything to my teas, but this one needs a bit of sweetening, so a little honey makes it nice. Can’t be brewed too long before it goes bitter as well.

Well, I hate coconut and I hate rooibos so I was anticipating this tea to be a bomb, total nope, gross. Fortunately, the chai mellows out the flavors I don’t like, and so this tea actually isn’t horrid! Its a very mild flavor, not unique or distinguished – but in this case that is a good thing.

Yep, I definitely taste the rooibos in this tea, that sickly sweetly yet-bitter taste that I can’t stand, overwhelming the brew. The lemongrass works to combat it a little, and the warmth of the ginger makes for a nice after-note, saving this from being completely gross. Yet, this one is still going to be a nope from me. Nope for Rooibos.

I am a huge fan of citrus so the tangerine notes of this tea sing for me. Though it is definitely better brewed cold, this tea still works warm, with an overtone of tartness and tang. The lemongrass is subtle, and the beetroot makes it brew a beautiful brilliant pink color, without any earthiness. Although the color is strong, its a weak brew that needs more than a couple minutes to really impart taste, and shouldn’t be rebrewed.
