Woo. This has a flavor, but certainly not enough of one. It tastes like rooibos, a little vanilla and that’s about it. I couldn’t detect half the flavors this tea was supposed to have and certainly none of the orange that smelled so delightful. I don’t know. The flavor was just weak overall and I hated the rooibos as it was too dominant for my tastes.

drank Blueberry by Adagio Teas

Drinking Blueberry Decaf in the evening is making me happy. I have loved this tea for some time. It’s just the right blueberry flavor. Real flavor, not overpowering, but definitely present. It’s sweet and versatile. Drink it sweet with ice for a light, fruity black tea that isn’t overpowered by its fruit, but is definitely flavored. Drink it hot, sweet and creamed for a heavy, desert tea taste with a moderate mouthfeel. It’s delightful on the tongue and lingers deliciously. One of my favorite teas.

Not bad. Not bad. It was in a tea bag so it may have failed to impart a really full flavor. I tasted chocolate. I tasted tea. I am not sure I tasted the “pu erh” part. It was okay with a little sugar and cream, but not amazing. I wouldn’t seek it out.

Drank this again this morning as a latte. I’m glad I remembered this one and dug it out.
It’s such a nice morning drink. Black, so a bit of caffeine, but not so much it makes me jittery. The sugar needed for this flavor is less than most. 2 teaspoons for my big 16 ounce mug is sweet. 1.5 teaspoons is just sweet enough. 1 teaspoon isn’t terribly sweet, but is pleasant and not bitter.

Halve those values for 8 ounce mug. That said, I like mine with the frothed milk.
I use the cheap at-home method of:
1. Pour milk in a jar with a lid.
2. Close tightly. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Milk will have doubled in volume.
3. Remove lid. Place in Microwave. Microwave for 34 seconds.
4. Pour milk into prepared cup of tea, use spoon to hold back the foam.
5. Spoon foam on top.

Super simple. Super cheap (no frother must be bought) and super delish!

I didn’t use a hazelnut creamer this morning so it was less Hazelnutty, and more coffee-y. I recalled that this has a slight chocolate taste but just very slight.

I like the way you froth your milk. I had never heard of that!

I learned it on the interwebs :D It’s easy tho. I found a big “water bottle” with a screw-on lid that my sister had in the cabinet never being used and made it my “Milk frother”. It works fine for the price of FREE :D

Free is always a good price.

I received this tea for my birthday a couple years ago. I prefer it drunk as a latte, so consider this review with that in mind.

This tea is a more “coffee” flavored tea than most to me. The hazelnut flavor is very muted, the cocoa doesn’t stand out and the cornflowers may as well be for show. The overall blend however tastes much like a good coffee. The mouthfeel is very coffee-like as well making this double for an excellent hazelnut latte.

My favorite way to take this tea is with a teaspoon and a half of sugar, and about 4 oz of milk, warmed and frothed plus a teaspoon of Coffee Mates Hazelnut Creamer to really kick it up a notch. With a pile of froth on top, you may as well be drinking straight up latte.
Note: This is a black tea so 1 tsp to a cup is normally recommended. I like to brew this with 2 tsp to the cup now that I’ve been working on my tin for a while. The flavor has diminished a little over time, but I find that if I increase to 2 tsp, the flavor comes through just as bold as it used to. That is to say, this tea keeps well, really considering that’s been a year and a half.

The nose is sweet and smooth with a very coffee-flavored kicker on the tail.
The aroma is sweet and smooth. If you don’t overbrew it, you won’t detect even a hint of bitterness in this tea.

I may be biased, being myself an Aquarius, but this tea is really a favorite.

Ooh, that does sound nice.

I enjoyed that latte more than most. I usually go to Masala Chai for latte, but I forgot how much I loved my Aquarius tea. Glad I broke it out again.

drank Pu-Erh Spice by Adagio Teas
78 tasting notes

Such an unusual tea! This is my first time trying a Pu Erh. I wish it was a plain Pu Erh so I knew more how to compare the other notes.

The tea has a sweet nose with the light amount of bitter only coming in at the tail. The spices play out across the tongue with a consistency that suggests the ingredients are well-balanced and well-integrated. The spice flavor complements the citrus notes without overwhelming the whole tea. It’s not a heavy spice flavor, just hints and accompaniment. I would say it’s worth a try. I may have to add this to my cupboard.

Flavors: Citrus, Spices, Sweet

Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

drank Earl Grey Bravo by Adagio Teas
78 tasting notes

if you asked me to name one favorite tea, this would be it. I have loved Earl Grey since I was 14 and a big fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I used to drink teabags of Twinnings Earl Grey and thought it quite lovely until I finally tried Earl Grey Bravo. Now I know what Earl Grey is meant to taste like. Bold, delicious, with the perfect balance of orange and bergamot oil. Not overpowering like some blends, and not underwhelming like others. This is Earl Grey done right in my opinion. Needs nothing but a little sugar or honey to make it just perfect.

Flavors: Bergamot, Orange Zest

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Profile

Bio

Loves tea, reading, music, art, video games, roleplaying, and spending time with her wife and daughter. :)

Ask me for a $5 gift cert to Adagio if you’ve never ordered from them!

As for tea, loves flavored black teas, herbals, and good lattes most. Green is hit or miss with me and I haven’t found a white I like yet. I like my tea sweet, no matter how much some tea connoisseurs turn their noses up at me for it. I love trying new teas and I’ll try anything once!

I noticed this elsewhere on the site so I’m going to post a ratings legend as well:

95-100 Favorite; This is one of my favorite teas. I will want to keep this in stock all the time. I will drink a lot of this tea. I’m likely to send samples of this in swaps because I LOVE it and want to SHARE my love of it with you!

90-94 Excellent; Some of the best teas I’ve tried. Delish. I will probably buy more.

80-89 Very Good; I liked it and would like to have it again for sure. I will surely buy it again at some point. Not quite “The best” of any category, but some good stuff to be sure.

70-79 Pretty Good; Maybe it’s just not quite my type of tea or not quite my flavor, but I acknowledge that it’s a good tea. I might drink it again if the mood strikes me. Not very likely to buy it again. May still recommend it to others based on their tastes.

50-69 Okay; I probably won’t buy it again, but will probably finish drinking what I have. It’s not bad. Not good… but not bad. I probably won’t recommend it.

50 or less Meh; I didn’t really enjoy this tea. I won’t buy it again and can’t recommend it.

10-0 I must have really, really hated this tea. It may have killed my puppy or absconded with my cheesecake. I’m pretty sure it killed Professor Xavier.
