I had a couple of rooibos teas that had turned me off, so I bought this to give it another chance without spending much.

I was surprised by the strong vanilla smell for a supermarket tea. The box does list vanilla bean in the ingredients (another reason I bought it).

I don’t care for it much on it’s own but it’s lovely mixed with other teas. I like to mix it with Adagio’s White Tropics. It’s also great with peppermint tea and some sugar. The vanilla really balances out the mint.

Blech. Too much hibiscus. This tea is bright red and way too tart, but not in a lemon-y way. No thanks!

Not a fan. When I think hazelnut, I think of the rich taste of Nutella or the buttery smell of the hazelnut coffee my dad can’t start his morning without. There’s not even the tiniest note of that here. Not really sensing vanilla either. This tea tastes and smells overwhelmingly of cinnamon and cloves. I tried maybe 2-3 cups. Now the box just sits in my cupboard.

This is my go-to afternoon indulgence tea. With just a half tsp of sugar, it keeps me from snacking at work. The flavors work well together. The chocolate is more pronounced than several loose leaf teas that I have. One of my absolute favs!

I love this tea. Smells like chocolate, tastes like strawberries! It definitely needs a little sugar to bring out the flavor. Very tasty!

drank Assam Harmony by Adagio Teas

I was looking for a malty tasting tea, which Assam is supposed to be. I don’t know if I got a bad batch or what but it’s very weak tasting and hardly malty at all. The second time, I tried using twice as many leaves. It gave it a beautiful amber color but was bitter and dirty tasting. Tastes like socks!

Ok, this tea deserved one more try and I think i figured out why it tasted so terrible last time. I don’t think I was using warm enough water. This time I made sure the water was boiling. What a difference! Slightly sweet, smokey, and most importantly, malty! I added just a tiny touch of sweetener to bring out the maltiness.

I definitely enjoyed my two cups (second steep was as good as the first) this time around. I bumped my rating from a 5 to the 55-60 range. Still not going higher than that because it was inconsistent. Maybe if I finish off the sample with favorable cups from now on, I may change my rating again.

Now that I know how to brew this properly, I’ve been drinking it all day. I’m on my fourth cup. The first three were all steeped from the same leaves. It gets a little weaker with each steep but with a little sugar, it tastes more like a baked sweet roll each time. I really misjudged this tea. Re-rated again :)

drank Tiramisu Treviso by Teavana

The first few cups were pleasant but underwhelming. Tonight I tried hotter water and adding half a tsp more tea ad a touch of sugar. It definitely made a difference. I bought this to drink at night, looking for a dessert tea that won’t keep me up and will help curb my ice cream cravings. Prepared like this, I’d say this will do the trick.

There are a lot of good flavors going on. Definitely chocolate, subtle taste of almonds, and a buttery rum quality. Not quite tiramisu but it does fit the bill as a satisfying dessert tea.

I’ve gotten 7 or 8 cups out of the sample I purchased but I’m still undecided about this tea. The dry leaves smell like pineapples and sunscreen. There’s definitely coconut here too.

It’s decent brewed. Unsweetened, it has a nice flowery quality but lacking in overall flavor. On the other hand, too much sugar ruins it. Just a touch of sugar will do.

I’ve also been mixing it with some Vanilla Rooibos tea, which has been my favorite way to drink it.

drank Earl Grey Bravo by Adagio Teas

Reading everyone else reviews, I’m wondering if i haven’t tried enough Earl Grey’s to compare. None the less, I love this tea. I drink two cups just about every morning. I always resteep the leaves, which produces a second cup almost as good as the first.

The tea smells absolutely wonderful, though the citrus notes can smell quite strong. I don’t found them too overpowering in the taste though. All the flavors are well balanced to me. Just half a teaspoon of sugar is all I need to add to start my morning. Time to reorder soon!
