This tea is not half bad for a decaf, pretty bad when compared to regular green tea. I am avoiding caffeine tonight and chose this one. It has a vegetal taste which I don’t mind and a fairly sour aftertaste which I do mind. This is not one I would recommend, unless you are really looking for decaf green tea. There just aren’t that many available from decent tea vendors and Simpson and Vail is excellent.

I think I would like to try this with a 1 min steep time and see if the sour flavor goes away.

I steeped this once in an 18oz teapot for 2 min with 175 degree water and 3 tsp of leaf.

Flavors: Vegetal

Preparation
175 °F / 79 °C 2 min, 0 sec 3 tsp 18 OZ / 532 ML

I rebrewed this tea with fresh leaves for 45 sec and with 2.5 tsp of leaf and the sour taste is almost gone. Much better.

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
