806 Tasting Notes
Not sure if this is the right one. Mine said Liu Family on it. It was from a Verdant Tea in the tea of the month box. Don’t ask me which year or month as it’s been awhile since I have ordered tea. Anyway this one is yummy. Not something I might order on my own. I can’t seem to pin down the taste but I blame eating practically a whole pizza earlier for that.
Preparation
So this time I’m doing it without the leftover matcha in the cup. I’m working the night shift and the coolest thing was watching the owl and a tiny (baby?) skunk face off right in front of the door. Now for the tea I get a nice warm feeling from drinking it. I definitely taste oolong. I would probably taste more if I hadn’t burned my tongue in my impatience to drink it…
Preparation
Well the owl I think just got annoyed and flew away. It wasn’t very violent.. more like a big dog being annoyed by a pup.
To be honest I made this in the same cup as my vanilla matcha from earlier. Some of the Madagascar Vanilla was still in there. I only had time to fill a bag and add some hot water before my break was over. With that in mind I’m not sure how long I acutally steeped it… Tastes yummy though.
Preparation
Because just one cup of matcha will not wake me up enough this morning. So I made another cup to take with me into work. Not sure what tea I will have after but I brought a few options. Work doesn’t have a variable temperature kettle and since we aren’t allowed to bring our own kettles everything I bring has to be steeped at boiling. I don’t have a thermometer and honestly I’m too lazy to use one.

Preparation
While this is not my favourite vanilla matcha from Matcha Outlet (formerly Red Leaf Tea) it is however a pleasant drink to help you wake up in the morning. Of course anything vanilla is fine with me. I admit that I woke up ages before my alarm only to yawn this morning. It rained last night so I’m not cycling into work today. I feel so lazy taking a car but I know if I don’t I will just get splashed with dirty water the second some car comes speeding by. Ah well at least I have my yummy matcha.

Preparation
This is by far my favourite out of the Vanilla matchas I have tried from Red Leaf Tea.. now called Matcha Outlet. Yeah that still takes some getting used to. I never have to add anything other than water to this since it’s so perfect. Nice and creamy and everything good I can think of when thinking Vanilla.

Preparation
Well I love making my own Starbucks Chai at home with this. I have been using coconut milk with it but ran out this morning so I used my skim cow milk. Which is totally yummy too I just like the tropical taste of the coconut milk. I have been having issues with my A/C lately but have gotten that all fixed now. Which means I can go back to drinking my hot matcha. Something I don’t do when it’s +25C in the house and a heck of a lot hotter outside.
