The flavor here is really basic, but also watery. I taste some spices like clove, but they’re blended in a sort of amateur way. It’s just pretty boring. The clove tingle still hits though. It tastes a lot more interesting cold with milk.

This didn’t taste like much when I was drinking it hot, but once I got to work, it started tasting really good. I love the maple that 52teas uses, and the fruitiness goes with it super well. Milk and sugar bring everything together. It’s nice!

I couldn’t taste the pineapple, but I really enjoyed the spice blend here. The rooibos isn’t my very favorite, but it’s really pleasant warm with milk. I get the gingerbread vibe for sure! It’s desserty and not spicy, just genuinely cookie-ish.

We had the loveliest Sherlock themed afternoon tea at St James this month! The floral flavor in this one was much too strong. It was a bit tannin-y. I wouldn’t normally add milk, but I did here to try to dilute it a little. Jasmine will never be my favorite though!

Sample from a previous TTB. Well this is rooibos, but it’s a nice one. I’m enjoying it cold and lightly sweetened. Some of the natural rooibos fruit-like qualities are coming through.

This was slightly more herbaceous than I would prefer. I did end up enjoying it cold though. The lemon is light and a little pillowy. I learned to keep my steep shorter, and I didn’t notice anything negative, just pleasant lemon. Since this blend is light, I’ve gotten to have it a lot of times, and I like it, but there are other herbal lemon blends I prefer.

This reminds me of another B&B tea…I taste the rooibos and coconut and a bit of something like pineapple. I don’t love fruitiness mixed with spiciness, but it’s not bad. The kick of heat is pretty strong, like it’s accomplished with chili peppers. It’s all a bit thin though.

Thanks to Cameron B for this one! The flavors here are too mild. I taste a bit of berry and maybe a bit of cream, but I wish it were stronger. It’s not bad with milk! The person I shared the cup with thought it tasted quite floral.

TTB tea! I enjoyed this more than I expected! It was spicy and orangey. The turmeric wasn’t too strong or dirty. The licorice made it too sweet, but it was better with soy milk.

TTB tea! The lemongrass is really tasty in here. It’s not tart at all, just light and smooth. The second time I had this, it tasted surprisingly biscuity? There’s nothing that makes me think mimosa, but somehow something more like baked goods!

I’m an event planner who always has multiple mugs of tea beside me. Hobbies other than tea include board games, video games, cooking international dishes, science fiction, hiking, jigsaw puzzles, tap dancing, reading, listening to podcasts, and playing with my troublesome kitties.

Favorite flavors: dessert flavors, nutty, melon, mint, strawberry, anything rooibos-related.

Don’t prefer: Smoky, rosemary, savory flavors, floral (other than lavender), plain tea.

I always drink flavored tea, and preferably caffeine-free or black. I’ll try just about anything though! Let me know if you’re interested in a swap!

My ratings are kind of meaningless, but basically
90-100 pretty perfect
80-89 really good
70-79 good, but not the best
60-69 okay, but probably not for me
1-59 varying degrees of dislike
