2284 Tasting Notes
We had the loveliest Sherlock themed afternoon tea at St James this month! The floral flavor in this one was much too strong. It was a bit tannin-y. I wouldn’t normally add milk, but I did here to try to dilute it a little. Jasmine will never be my favorite though!
This was slightly more herbaceous than I would prefer. I did end up enjoying it cold though. The lemon is light and a little pillowy. I learned to keep my steep shorter, and I didn’t notice anything negative, just pleasant lemon. Since this blend is light, I’ve gotten to have it a lot of times, and I like it, but there are other herbal lemon blends I prefer.
This reminds me of another B&B tea…I taste the rooibos and coconut and a bit of something like pineapple. I don’t love fruitiness mixed with spiciness, but it’s not bad. The kick of heat is pretty strong, like it’s accomplished with chili peppers. It’s all a bit thin though.
